Apple tv hdmi problem

So the problem is I've just bought an apple tv but I can't use hdmi (it's a very long story)

Is there a way I can convert hdmi to either s-video, component, VGA or standard RCA?

You'll need a digital to analog converter which cost upwards of £50

Just return it, and get one once you have HDMI.

Well, you don't need the HDMI, just use the handbrake you can make the Apple TV to be a home media centre: Using AppleTV as your new home Media Centre

it only has HDMI out on the ATV so hows he gonna connect it

Your best bet will be to check the rain forest site or that other well known auction site for a converter of some sort.

Other than that you options are as follow:

Return the device
Buy a new TV

Got the ATV and tried a simple HDMI-vga adapter and as expected it didn't work, anyway I've been looking at HDMI converters as it looks to be my only choice but they are a tad expensive for what they are so for the mean time il keep the ATV but in its box until i upgrade my TV which will be very soon.

If anybody knows an alternative way i could get the ATV to work without HDMI be sure to let me know.

Just use this as an excuse to upgrade your tv early, any money spent on the converter is wasted anyway down the line.
