If you are thinking of getting the new GTX 680 then you should watch this BF3 review, which basically shows you what FPS you can achieve with this card on Ultra.

I was surprised at much VRAM Battlefield 3 uses on just a single monitor.

Very nice, actual off-screen gameplay showing FPS.

I think you could hold a rock solid 60FPS with occlusion off and no MSAA, for me game still looks as good at this IQ.

Agreed. Now to save my pennies (literally :p). Looks like everyone who has one is happy with their purchase.

Very seriously considering one of theese as well, nice to see that power use on them is pretty good.

When you get dips to 40 FPS this is mainly when you get explosions and smoke going off in your face, I found turning effects down to low stops the FPS drops. TBH you can't see the difference between low and ultra effects but you gain big time in FPS.

looks good, but im more interested in 2560 x 1600, and i dont think a single 680 is going to be as good as my current 2x 480 gtx's, so look slike ill have to save up for sli 680's i think.

Erm you don't need a 680 for that.... With no MSAA and HBAO left on with Ultra at 1920x1200 my GTX570 SSC sticks to 60fps at all times (Vsync on). With 2xMSAA it's 50-60 nominal.
