RAM for video/photo editing 8Gb or 16Gb?

Apologies for asking so many questions - I think I have one going in most of the hardware forums really displaying my lack of knowledge in components!

As mentioned in the title, I am not a gamer and am speccing a decent i7 3770K system to overclock to get a HD video editing cruncher. I use Sony Vegas and Photoshop and was wondering if I would benefit from 16Gb over the fairly standard 8Gb. I was going to go with something like Corsair Vegance 1600Mhz RAM

16Gb it is then.... Oh god, now I'm refraining from the speed question. 1600mhz seems more my price bracket..... unless.....

1600mhz is fine unless you're looking for e-peen and world records...

Just make sure you buy RAM that can do 1600 @1.5V there are a fair few packs that do [email protected](avoid) which is not particularly recommended for IB or SB
