How many rads would i need? i have a haf 932 which can fit a 360 at the top inside the case, and maybe a 240mm on the top outside the case. perhaps a 240mm or 120mm on the outside on the rear on the case. It also has a space for 240mm x 240mm on the door of the case. What would be needed to put the loop on a decent temp?

I was before getting 97 degrees on one card playing gta4 in surround, which as soon as it reached, i stopped playing gta4.

Also what kinda pump would i need for this loop!

Thanks in advance :D

I have an i7 950, and 2x GTX 480's all watercooled fine.

I have 2 loops:

CPU:=> res->Phobya 3.120->CPU->1.120->Res
GPU:=> Res->Swiftech 2.120->GPU1->GPU2->Swiftech 2.120->Res

The GPU's remain cool but raise the temp of the CPU when gaming implying that the cooling for them in isolation is not quite enough. The Res is common to both loops, so it evens out after a while.

re: Pumps I have a D5 for each loop. One D5 will actually push the fluid round, but I wanted to make sure that each loop had plenty of room for growth as I have lots of 90degree fittings and length of hose.

The bottom Rads share fans, so you could get more airflow by separating the the rads and having fans for each rad rather than using one set of fans for 2 rads.

GPU's are overclocked to 785 mhz core speed on default voltages, and cpu is 4.2 Ghz, 8 threads, 1.39v Vcore.

Might go for a 360mm inside a 240mm outside and and a 240mm on the rear perhaps witha mcubed tbalancer. the 2x240mm on the door seems an overkill and perhaps inconvenient. Does anyone know where i can get yellow fans?

Only yellow fans I know of:

RE the loop. you can get away with a 360+240, but i'd recommend adding some more rads, another 120mm should do it.

A single D5 should manage fine :)

right i have a proposed setup. But im not sure of what cpu block to get or what res/pump

i need a pump which can handle that loop. Not sure whats out there :S

also if anyone has an other recommendations for res or anything feel free
thanks!

With a single loop, you'll be pushing heated fluid (after passing through 2xGTX 590s) on to the CPU. The CPU is the most heat sensitive item, so I'd suggest running the loop the other way OR splitting it into 2 loops.

For my 480s, splitting from 1 to 2 loops saved me 5C on my GPU.

Yer run the flow other way always go for the shortest tidiest loop, always try and go CPU first, you will be fine with that setup get some quick release fitting for the door rad will make life a lot easier. Make sure the fans on the door rad blow out not in.

well i was thinking of having the fans on the outside of the case blowing in and the top rad blowing out just to get some airflow.

and i didnt know they made them fittings! thanks!

Before you commit to the radiator in the door, check what clearance you have above the gpus. Just a gut feel, but I don;t think it'll fit. You might have to mount the fans externally and the rad internally or vice versa.

Because of the limited space for adding more rads I would reconsider that 360XT, maybe the XTX or a Black Ice GTX. However, internally, both of these will cause clearance issues with the mainboard/cpu, even the XT might be a similar problem once fans are added.

It's either a Coolit Boreas or one of their derivative models.

No longer in production as far as I can tell. They certainly did look to be a powerful bit of kit...

I have two 360 rads and a d5 pump going to an 980x and two 590's. Even in this hot weather the gpu's idle around 36-37 degrees and playing battlefield rarely hits 60. All this is on one single loop.
