Hi, can anyone shed any light with this.

GFX card: Gigabyte gtx580 SoC // running stock.

GFX card was a replacement under RMA, and tested by Gigabyte before dispatch.

nVidia Drivers 301.42

This is only happening with WoW. Basically, WoW crashes/Not Responding and in the event log is Error 4101 "Display driver nvlddmkm stopped responding and has successfully recovered."

The driver crash happens when the GPU usage spikes to 99%
The timeline before is on average, GPU usage 50%, Temp 50-55c, Fan 50%. During the 99% spike the GPU temps stay at the average 50-55c.

So it really does appear to be related to the GPU spiking to 99% usage :(

I have played Diablo 3, Guild Wars 2 beta and Train Simulator with no probs. Altho GW2 might still be CPU limited.

I have get together some stats from logs, if it will help anyone to identify what is causing the nVidia drivers to stop/restart.

I have 2 within 30 mins. I've not changed any settings via afterburner yet. I wanted to gather some stats when the crash occurs.

Sounds like symptoms I had which caused issues when the GPU was under stress.

Turned out it was a faulty graphics card, no software issue at all.

I even ran a Furmark Preset 1080p Benchmark, that didn't crash either. It just seems to be World of Warcraft HoT HCs. If I look back, even the Dragon Soul Raid was fine. No probs with other games.

Ran the 1080p burn in test, hit the thermal throttle at 71c after around 2.5 mins.

Okies, I upped the volts to 1.100. Up from 1.025

I managed to get thru the areas that kept causing the crash.

Many thanks to u both.
