If they are not flush to the windscreen then you will experience exactly what you described. Best to fit them, then press them down firmly on your clean windscreen to make sure contact is perfect.
Perhaps your wiper arms don't provide enough pressure to the blades for them to work correctly. The aero wipers usually have an integrated spoiler to aid high-speed wiping.
I have had wipers where the middle of the wiper did not touch the windscreen at high speed when wiping, because I guess it just had not been fitted right. Took it off the arm, refitted it and pushed it flush to the windscreen and the problem was gone.
Just noticed this; mine also miss a little bit at the outer edges. That and they're noisy when cold. I've had them on since about October last year. They wipe really well though, but I'll probably get some Bosch ones when I can be arsed as they're the best ones to use in my experience.
