Are you still going to play it every day like Raven does, but still moan about it every night? :D

I don't play it at all really :p The majority of that time, about 60-70 hours was when it first came out for the first few months, where as the rest of that time has been spread out over like 6-7 months :p

Also about 5 hours of that time has been spent trying to fill a server.


Played it a few days ago, but still don't like the game that much, ruined by the players more so (and think I am just growing out of gaming now as well :() and then being killed by the AUG all the time, which only the people who have CQ get :rolleyes: and then seeing all this premium **** has just put me off completely now, more of a principle thing :o :p
 
Really. If it followed that logic then a shotgun slug should be devestating at close range. And yet seemingly it takes 2+ shots to kill.

I don't have an issue with low weapon damage, quite the opposite, I want to see weapons play their intended roles. People spaming assault rifles from the hip and killing quicker than a shotgun, is stupid.

A shotgun slug is a single shot kill, as are buckshot/flechette if you hit from close enough.

If you are having hit reg problems I suggest checking your latency and adjusting the lag slider in the game menu.

Also, if you are using shotgun slugs at close range, you're doing it wrong.

Use buckshot up close, slugs if you want to engage from a distance.

No it's not. I've played this game enough to know that, it should be a 1 shot kill, but it invariably screws up.

And I define close range as 0m to 15m, in a real life situation you never dream of using a assault rifle to engage targets, as you wouldn't have time to aim down scope, and no sane person fires from the hip. Yet this game seems to conveniently gloss all over that so people can go about spamming bullets.

Yes I realise it's a game, but why bother including shotguns then if you can't even balance them effectively, that was my original point.

But in real life when you have the gun up against your shoulder you have a pretty good idea of where you're pointing the thing and don't need to "aim down the sight" in close quarter situations. This is where games and real life don't cross, the sense of feel. It's why I really hate hardcore modes and the fact they remove the crosshair (yes you can stick one on your monitor). For example if you hold a pistol out with your arms straight you know roughly where the bullets will go, but in game its either down to your right and guess or you aim down the sight which feels sluggish and horrible when really close.

But comparing this game to real life is utterly stupid, I mean who checks a corner by having to move their entire body around it exposing yourself before you actually see whats there. The problem with shotguns in my opinion is the really **** poor hit detection, you can aim down the sight at people really close yet not a single pellet hits them. But when they decide to work properly they work really well, just a question of when sadly.

Is it just me or is the support class ****

ive been playing it a lot during the double xp weekend so i could get my service stars and i was not impressed

the problem is i always seemed to lose 1vs1 against assault the majority of the time sometimes when i get the drop on them

now im no noob (maybe playing support i am) and my accuracy is pretty decent it just seems it takes a load more hits to take someone down with a LMG than it does with a assault rifle

and the funny thing is sometimes when im playing assault i seem to get one shotted by support but when i use the same gun as support it takes a lot more than one hit to take people down i just dont get it

main guns ive been using is the L86A2 and the M27 didn't like the PKP at all and i do did use the M249 a lot at first

anyone got any ideas maybe i need the heavy barrel?

Your biggest problem with playing support is none of the guns have a high ROF, meaning that your time to kill is higher than somebody playing assault with an AEK / F2000 / M16 etc..

The solution is to play differently, give out ammo, plant dirtymores and to stay behind your team mates when moving up.
 
Ok, so haven't played this game in a few days and tried loading up a quick match earlier but I am getting these really weird random lag/pauses that last about 2-3 seconds each time.

Tried updating my drivers, rebooting computer etc

Has anyone come across this before?
