I'm past all that bit now. Been through The Fridge, which wasn't too bad and aquired some decent loot and cash from that Crystal..wotsits! They aren't too tough on their own, but the Rakk make it more difficult. Thank god for my auto cannon! But I made a point of taking all the Crysthingy's out because they are loaded. Then I spotted a Lab Rat nicking all the cashs! On no you ain't!

Really enjoying this!

lol I did that too. I was raging. The yellow fast travel stations with the 'no return' icon above them are one way. I found that out the hard way too.
Was a lot quicker running through the map the second time anyway :)

not seen a single one yet, and the gun run i keep doing only offers one decent gun, i'm starting to think each chest is only offering a certain gun or something.

there really needs to be an area like new heaven with the 5 chests in town.

afaik no one has found anything similar yet, if it even exsists.

i'm pretty sure you're meant to farm bosses/gambling machines this time around and chests are lack luster gimmicks that are there just to de-rail you from content and make the game look bigger instead of 'farming' them (like #1)

I wouldn't have an issue with it if the drop rates where any good, it's currently 1 purple per 30 chests, which is better than #1 but takes around 10x the time to get to that many.

the whole golden key thing is utter BS, only way to get more is from twitter and they are time/quantity limited (although they are working on that?) i'm sure i'm not the only person who can't spend all day on twitter just to get a chance of a gun upgrade highly unfair imo.

i can see them being sold on the marketplace soon enough.


Don't get me wrong the game is amazing and just as good as the first, just for me some things got changed for the worse when they were fine before.
 
I've started again with Axton... Sniping with Zer0 is fun, but there is something satisfying about running into a group of mobs throwing grenades and mowing them down with an assault rifle!

only level 27, finding the commando really slow to level , but might just be me.

Weapons wise only have 1 orange (Grenade mod) which is nice but weapons are poor as hell i feel anyway.

& After dieing 100x and having now no money is annoying as hell.

too polished for my liking , where as in bl1 with knoxx armoury the glitch was epic :) or as least in new haven some crates where bugged prior to patch updates which could be farmed.

Still yet to play with friends too :(

I think I've been lucky with my weapons/mods, but then again I've found a lot in chests and I literally open every one I see. I'm about level21 and have got 2 purple/2 blue guns, purple class mod, purple shield, orange grenade mod. On top of that I've got all blue/purple back up guns in backpack.

With Maya's reaper skill it completely destroys everything and my class mod has +2 reaper so it's even more destruction :)

Interestingly I began playing long distance and sniping everything, but actually it's 10x more fun when you run in and obliterate everything with a shotgun. I wasn't going to pick the phoenix skill originally, but might just do it now!

I managed to find a relic that gives me 5% extra xp so i'm leveling up quite quick.
And for some reason after I opened my gold chest all other chests give me good items :confused:
I'm actually enjoying this more playing on my own. I get whichever loot I want and get to choose my own quests.
 
I bought this but I still had the first to play! Anyways I've done the base game, Zombie Island and General Knoxx. I've still got the Underdome and Revolution to do but to be honest after god knows how many hours I'm feeling a little drained of it even though its been really enjoyable. Is the sequel that much different? or does it just feel like a really well done expansion pack? In any case might give it a few months after getting all the achievements on the original game + DLC before I fire this up.
 
Ok, I'm a Level 21 Axton and just found Sanctuary for the second time. Went all round town and activated all new missions etc. Used a golden key and recieved a purple pistol that does 250ish damage, with 12% chance of elemental effect and 200 pts/ps of elemental damage. 29 rounds per clip and a stupidly fast reload time. I also have a badass perk that is increasing elemental effect by 8% or so.

This weapon is comically overpowered for my level! It's killing everything in seconds (except for fire resistant enemies for which I have an explosive weapon (slow firing rate/slow bullets) to deal with them).

Hoping for some tougher enemies tonight.

i'm the same if i see a crate then ill open it. back to 40k in money now but still 2-3k a pop when die :/
Cant stand shotguns either


Still plodding along anyhow almost to 30 i need a new shield i know that much but in the 2k shield mark, probs need 4k+ now mobs are getting harder.

I take it its the same as BL1 where rinse and repeat again? or is it all one huge mission to 50?

Ill keep my eyes open for exp relic then! Still tempted to open my chest at level 50 :D

love the grenade mods in this one..much more inventive that the first

love the singularity ones and I have one that bounces around and fire like a machine gun and sets ppl alight
 
So my overpowered Axton with comical fire pistol all of a sudden became useless! To be fair, I'm not that far in the story as I do every single side quest I can before the main story missions.

So I entered the Caustic Caverns! This place is a loot/cash hole! Really boosting my cash and weapons, but also it's riddled with Varkids and Crystalisks. So it also boosts XP pretty well too. Trouble is, I just can't carry enough ammo! It's all worth the rewards though, but be warned, it's a tough and long slog.

You certainly dont want to go to the end of the train tracks, turn right and jump on to a rather square looking rock, then jump down, turn left and find a "strange" wall you can break while you are there.
