I'm running crossfire 7950's on a 60Hz screen now and still see an improvement in BF3. I can lock at 60fps and it never drops.

I'm not keeping both as tbh BF3 is the only game that see's a difference and as I play it about once a month it's not worth it now I have sold my 120Hz screen.

My usage with the new drivers is always in the 90's though.. ?

I'm getting 68% usage from my cards in BFBC2.

I'm not sure what to make of it all to be honest.

Mmm I just checked GPU-z and my max reported load is 80% :confused:

This after playing BF3 and FC3

Going to run heaven see if that bring 100% - yes it did.

Is the cpu doing 100% load?
if that is so then its a cpu limitation.
if not its either the game design, drivers, or some hardware Compatibility.
so unless you see 100% cpu useage when the gpu usage drops then it aint cpu bound but some other stuff going on.

Some threads were about 40% but most were in the 50-60% range.

You don't have to be at 100% CPU usage to have a CPU bottleneck.

Not that I think the issue is a CPU bottleneck now.

I don't think it is either

I get up 98% usage across 4 GPUs in BF3 @1600p, I know im using nvidia but I would expect the OP to get the same using half the number of GPUs @half the resolution.

I hope the above is not the case anyway as I getting a pair of HD 7970s delivered tomorrow.

Yeah i noticed higher gpu usage with my card on aftermath. I expect AMD can squeeze more performance out on those maps.

OK this is starting to bug me now.

I am getting as low as 44% usage with these cards.

Ridiculous....i'm going to roll back to another beta to see if it's still the same.

Not used to sitting in this situation with AMD being the Top Dogs!

Well this is weird,

I've taken my cards back to stock 1000/1375 and the usage has gone up to the 80-98% range. They were clocked at 1100/1475.

CPU bottleneck?

Edit, nope it was the memory OC. Running the cards at 1100/1375 and getting 80-98% usage.

Overclocking the Memory increases the performance by at least as much as the overclocking the GPU core. see here...

Martini1991 i got one of odd ones i think.
If i start my pc and lets say only watch some movie and web sites. Then i start ANY game sometimes driver will crash
If i start pc and turn game withing 30-40 minutes Driver will never crash. I can play 14hours+ on BF3 or WoW or W/E and works 100% fine. I can stress test card with anything for hours no crash.
My Win7 on new ssd is like month old. I had same problem on previous installation.
But **** my card is ocd to max -25mhz core -50mhz memory just to be 100% stable. I would **** me off to lose some arena match due to pc crash.

is it me or are these even better in BF3? i'm playing the aftermath maps with 2xAA and get averages of about 100!!!
