hey dudes
has anyone else purchased an ATI card from here and got the free facry 3 game offer etc,

im struggling to get it , i have gone to amd to redeemed the offer and got the email with the instructions and codes to input,

Step 1: Go to http://shop.ubi.com/amdfarcry, Log in or create an account

Step 2: Add Far Cry 3 PC Download (standard edition) to the shopping cart

Step 3: Click on "Click here to redeem link"

Step 4: Enter the game code below and click apply

Step 5: Click the checkout button and fill out the necessary fields.

Step 6: Click on submit order then click on begin download


i cant find the standard edition and adding any other edition doesnt give you any option to click to redeem, also they also say preorder and release date is 31/11/12 WTF !
 
I found i had to install Uplay first - then i could select the download edition and download and install via Uplay

yep prob shuld of done that, the download manager is downloading facry now, have installed uplay in mean time, but says no games at mo, guessing that will change once farcy 3 is installed,

i take it also once done like steam i can reinstall again if i have to do a windows re installtion,

shame you cant transpose this to steam :p

When it's downloaded you run the farcry3d11 executable/updater file to add it to uplay and then enter your key that you were mailed from ubishop (not the discount one the actual game key) and you're good to go! :)

Ha! So true.

What I don't understand is why AMD/Ubisoft could not just provide the actual game key directly with a link to the download manager rather than make you go through the purchasing process and then this... and that... and then finally that...

I'd imagine that after AMD had a load of Dirt codes stolen, the manufacturers running the promotion want to keep track of newer codes better.

This confused the hell out of me ;) The email talks about adding the Standard Edition (which isn't found anywhere), and "FC3: The Lost Expeditions" sounds like DLC!

Spent ages Googling to see what I was doing wrong...
