Hi all,

M and my brother are in need of new Gaming headsets for Xmas. ATM we have creative Fatality hs-1100 USB headsets but both are on their way out and we probabily would replace them if we could get new ones.

We want USB headset that doesn't require a sound card and I am guess a surround sound one would be good nowadays.

My budget is probabily £25-£40 and my bros is probabily £30-£60.

Any ideas guys

P.S meant to say needs a mic on it

Tried a turtle beach X42 headset in a high street store the other day, they were the best i have ever tried.

No idea on price and with a bit of luck someone will point out even better ones.

Edit: just looked at the price there £110+ so a bit out of your range.

Creative Labs Sound Blaster Tactic Alpha about £42.

Creative Soundblaster Tactic3D Wrath about £67 - £85, I got this after my Roccat Kave gave up.

both the Creative Labs Sound Blaster Tactic Alpha and Plantronics GameCom 780 look quite good

But just so I know... is a USB adapter just a basic analogue to digital converter or will it contain all the cool stuff to make 7.1 surround and stuff??
