Worst idea ever lol
Im using Gigabyte Custom Bios with AB full working and powerplay.
force constant voltage KILLS idle 1w powerplay and low voltage.... very bad idea if you want to prolong the life of your card + higher temps.
Both my cards are idling @27c and 30c
if you force constant voltages i bet your idle temps are way higher, i dont recommmend using his default bios with msi ab.

Xfx 7950 DD with Accelero cooler. Runs 1100/1600 1.1v Max temp of 65.c under heavy load and is inaudible.
69c or there abouts anything under 75c is perfectly fine for these cards... hell i was reading around and under 80c is perfectly fine for these cards.Heavy load is furmark. Games it hardly ever goes above 55.c, sleeping dogs hits 60.c with the fans at %50.
The cooler is easy enough to fit if you take your time and well worth it for the silence alone.

Thats a lot of VCORE you got there Chris :/ for 1150 lol

Both my HIS ICEQ cards are 90+% Asic Quality.
and my 24/7 OC is :

you should be able to reduce that voltage...
Thanks will take a look into it. Any chance this is a guide for our card video or site?
i have tried many times to reduce voltage on the core but sadly it will go no lower.
due to the cooler being very good on the wf3 i never see above 63c in the most stressful of applications.
whats the safe speeds to run the memory at? i decided to stop at 1450 but i know it will go higher but will i actually see any real difference whilist gaming going any higher?

No you wont.
7 series cards are not bandwith limited at all even with 1200+ cores, there is a small benifit in faster memory speeds though but its not beneficial compared to core increase.
and you must be doing something as his iceQ 7950s are not voltage locked
the creator of MSI AB is just not willing to add support for our cards to AB cause there none ref cards, but if you flash a ref bios you will be able to add your card to AB support,....
Hi, only overclocked my card for first few days I had it, since then stock only.
Stock: 900\1250 @ 0.965v (0.805v idle) 52c gaming vrms 58\62c 33%fan 99%gpu.
Max OC: 1250\1250 (dont touch the memory) @ 1.219v (gpuz) 64c vrms 73\71c 49% fan
Asic: 77%.
Idle: 300\150 @ .805v 26c vrms 26\29c fan 30%. Nice cool card with good case cooling. Plays Far Cry 3 very well, which looks great on 1080p 27" by the way, see no need to overclock yet.![]()
But how long is the test? 5-10-15 minutes?
