You wont get a brand new replacement for an outlet model.
If that's the case I'll be getting my £2877 back then, can't be doing with getting another faulty machine

You wont get a brand new replacement for an outlet model.

I had a brand new replacement for an outlet laptop last year. I bought an M18x R1 which had dual GTX460M graphics cards, but the SLI did not work. After 3 repair attempts and some email/twitter harassment from me they eventually replaced it with a new one. It wasn't the same spec though; the replacement just had a single GTX560M.
I want to join in with the failure of getting an Alienware but school...

Just ordered an M18X, can anyone help with the following.
I am assuming it has SATA III ports, if so how many?
What are the max capacity drives in each slot it can handle?
What RAID options does the board support?

Will no doubt end up on eBay
going by your sig, you've got an Alienware already?
Just phoned dell up, they reacon they don't offer anywhere near the 20percent discount off I think I read earlier in this thread, they knocked 100 off a 1500 laptop and said that's the best they can do
Might need to try again or I might need to go down Clevo route or look elsewhere
I ordered mine yesterday, there is no possible way I can pick one up off the outlet with my school times for about a month which is a problem as I kinda need a pc now'ish
So the deal is, you will not get much off a base spec laptop. bump the specs up a lot and you'll get closer to that 20% I mentioned. Secondly, you wont get it though random dell man. You will have to search another forum to get the person who can offer you a large discount (my sig I got 13% off)
