Anything on the horizon to compete with the Nexus 10?

Not that I know of but I'd expect a 1200p Tegra4/S4pro version of the Asus Transformer and a 1200p Note 10.1 to be released H1 2013.

do not expect any of them to compete on the same price level, the nexus range will never be beaten on that as they are built not for profit, but simply to distribute the android platform at a high level

so if any device is around the corner expect to pay a rather large premium for it

I'm looking forward to the second iteration of the Surface RT, reckon with a bit of tweaking it'll be a pretty sweet tablet all round.

as am i, my touch pad is a bit sluggish tbh. I had a play on the RT, its where windows 8 should be! Very impressed.. tbh i am a bit of an android fanboi but i cant help but think i prefer windows on that tablet! (im also guessing it would work nicely with Windows server i have on my server at home for backups

They are built by a bunch of 10 year olds. the QC on the nexus range is SHOCKING to say the least.

i rather they double the price of their nexus range for better QC/ build quality.

You can have a 4k res screen tablet and a 8 core chip inside with a battery life that lasts a week and if it fails to work within a few weeks/months or has some light leaks, screen raised on one side etc etc then its useless imo.

i have two nexus 4's and a nexus 7, all of them work flawlessly, never had any issues with any of them, although i am aware a bad batch of nexus 7's were released with dodgy screens which creaked or lifted
