7970 6 + 8 pin? PSUs?

Hey, I am planning on getting 2 7970s soon, but recently noticed that it had a 6 pin pci connector and an 8 pin pci connector. Huh? Do I need one or the other? Both? Any 800/850 PSUs that offer 2x 8 +6 pci connectors.

a lot of modern PSU come with a 6 Pin and an 8 Pin..

It's normally called, 1 X 6 Pin, ! X 6+2 Pin:

If you running one 7970 these below will be fine. No need for 800W unless your running two (then you'll need 2 X 6 Pins and 2 X 6+2 Pins)

It would, but I dont see a reason to buy it.. its not modular and tbh I would rather go for XFX or Seasonic at that kind of price... Both are made by seasonic, nothing beats seasonic in psu market.
