What is a normal amount of electricity to use in one day?

I am on Economy 7 where the water heater and electric storage heaters run overnight.

My "Low" meter reading went up 2 units over the night and my "Normal" meter when up 28 units.

Does this sound about right? Surely the low should have gone up more and the normal less?

This is a small 1 bed flat btw and I was only in the flat actively using electricity for 3 hours - 1 meal warmed up in microwave, some lights, tv and laptop. (ignore fridge)

In our house (5 people) we use about 15-13 kWh's each day (or units) so it does seem like quite a lot, but then you are using electric heaters which use quite a lot of electricity.

Surely if they run at night then the change in the low meter should be higher?

There is no normal.

I use about 5-6 kw a day

28units = 28 kwh? are you growing cannabis using around 2000 watts of HPS?

are you sure your not reading the units the wrong way around?

2 units for the 3 hours you were in would be about right.

electric storage heaters gobble power what watt are they?

5-6Kw per day is pretty impressive. I manage to somehow use 11-12Kw. I get home from work and I've used about 4kw and that's without me being there!

As for the opening poster, if you're using 30Kw overnight then I feel for you when you get your bill! I suspect, however, that these units do not equal a Kw...

Thats with my comp on 24/7 to lol.

anything I'm not using is turned off apart from my fridge, computer , microwave (microwave needs the clock setting everytime its turned on so meh)

My heating is free :D
