Hello,

I'm having a really bad experience with the RMA of my video card by Overclockers UK, i bought a KFA2 Geforce 680 and sent it back as it was faulty they verified the card was not functioning and told me they sent it back to the manufacturer this happened on the 26th of Feb and i'm still waiting my card, now i want to ask you guys what are the usual time-frames in which the items are returned for those who already made RMAs here. They keep replying me with the same pre-made clipper about 28 working days which will expire this or next week. But at this point i don't know if it's normal that i have to wait over one month without a video card cause they sold me a faulty one.

Cheers

it depends on where they have to send it etc, also why keep getting on to them? if they said 28 working days, and its not been 28 working days yet, then theres no need to ask again is there?

Also when i had a problem, they swapped it out for me, but it was the next day when i took it back and it was DOA

Cut them some slack, the turn around on my keyboard was a few days, however that's because they dispatched one from them to me as it was like 10 days old...

I had my XFX fail on me and it took around 6 weeks.

How long had you had the card before it became faulty?

But you best bet is to write a note / complaint in the customer forum or Web Note complaints procedure (link below)

https://www.overclockers.co.uk/webnote.php

It was faulty from the very beginning crashing with dx11 and not crashing if downclocked. The problem was i tried to update first all my system drivers and check everything else cause i couldn't believe i was given a faulty card and thought the problem was something else.

Very annoying, I am surprised they did not swop it straight away being pretty much DOA on arrival.

But hold in there and wait the 28 days and see if the new card arrives, have a chat in the Customer section and they might give you some game codes or a bag of Harribo's :p

As soon as it was confirmed DOA i would have asked for a refund and just bought another card.
28 days for a replacement item is pretty ridiculous nowadays.

Its not Overclockers that make the law lol. If its taking a long time then it will be down to the manufacturer, the best you can do is get in contact with OcUK after the 28 days expires and either get a refund or see if they can hurry it up. Not quite sure how this particular piece of legislation works though.

If an item is not fit for purpose on arrival then he could have just asked for an instant refund.
He could even have returned it under DSR and got a refund and not mentioned the fault, a bit unethical i know but better than waiting a month without a card.

If indeed this item was faulty on arrival you are entitled to :-

a A full refund
Or
b A replacement item

Your contract is with OC and not the card manufacturer. So if the card developed a problem after some time then you need to follow the RMA process.

But remember OC didn't manufacture this card they just supplied it and if they have said 28 days and you accepted this then just wait the 28 days and then call them for an update im sure they will come up with something.
