You need to right click the 'disableulps.bat' and run as administrator and restart the PC.

Open iTurbo and copy my settings in the above pic and restart the PC again.

Then run and compare your Heaven Uniengine/3Dmark Firestrike results in single and CrossFire modes with others in the appropriate threads to see if CrossFire is working properly.

I would make sure you have CrossFire enabled and working properly, before even contemplating overclocking.

There's not much point jumping in at the deep end if you don't know what's what first.:)

Whilst your here - I will applaud your help!! :p

It appears to be working much better, temps are slightly higher though?

Your welcome.

Temps are higher because CrossFire is now enabled and working, whereas before it was probably only using one card.

I'm off the clock now so home time and won't be back until late tonight.:)

Thanks to everyone else - I KNEW I was missing something and it turns up that utility sorted it.

What temps are considered safe for these cards? Whats the draw backs to disabling ULPS am I now at a constant voltage?

Good score, mine was 3456 on a 2500k @ 4.7GHz

Max temp whilst benching was 74 on the top card. During gaming, I've not seen it go over 62. I wouldnt worry unless it goes into the 80's and then I'd just alter the fan speed curve.

Yeah i doubt the games I play will take the temps higher. They were 77 degrees on that run.

Disabling ULPS doesn't force constant voltage, it just disables the second card from effectively switching off when not in use, so it will increase power consumption by about 20-30W, to contextualise this it's going to cost you an extra 10p in electric every 30 hours ish on the basis you pay 10p per kwh like me.

Useful - Thanks

I seem to be having the exact same issue with Valley. Only using the settings for iTurbo in this thread make no difference, scores typically 1880-1950 maximum in CF mode!

Heaven 4.0 I get roughly 1450 which is consistent with other CF 7950's, so not sure what's wrong with Valley?

Chris.
