hey guys,

just looking through the EVGA GTX 670's as im planning a X79 build soon and am interested in this card (well two of them lol) but ive searched the web and youtube and cant find a lot of info or decent reviews on them.

so what i want to know is mostly noise and temps of the card, is it quiet and cool? will i be disappointing getting two of these for SLI and them being noisy?

im coming from a 1156 platform and HD 6990.

so what do you guys think of the card?

I am running 2 in SLI.

Temps with custom fan profile are good. Noise on the other hand is not the best. I do have a lot of fans tho, and my case is on my desk right next to my monitor and me.

Any thing else just ask.

well they will be housed in a corsair C70 and im looking for lowest noise possible with out putting them under water

hows the noise vs the ref EVGA 670?

Nice looking board, as the blue pcb on the wf would look out of place, an option is to get black backplates. The ones from evga for their 670 FTW fit, as the wf 670 and the FTW both use the same full size 680 pcb.

hmm looks tempting, so whats the pros and cons with the 670WF and the EVGA 670 FTW signature 2?

the white and black is soo tempting lol

I can only give advice on the wf mate as i havent owned the evga. Main pro's with the wf are.

Very quiet
Very cool running
Great overclocking cards
Excellent uk based service should faults arise

Cons are.

Pretty expensive
On a tight spaced board they may run hot in sli.

Ive had mine since release, pretty decent clocker, maxed at +130/+770. In game my highest temp reported is 67c on auto fan. This is in a case with abysmal front air intake.

It's brushed aluminum and not white but it's very good. The FTW is solid and weighty. But I found it a bit hotter than the other customs cards and definately louder than the windforce.

Two FTW's would be loud imo. I settled for two Asus cards due to the back plate and color scheme but would have took the Windforce's over the FTW.

oooo i like those ASUS cards :D

whats the noise and temps like on those?

hmmm yeh i see that, i like my full tower, but just know i can get the same if not better performance out of a C70 compared to my CM storm trooper, the C70 has all the same cooling options as my full tower!

Asus cards are the quietest out of all the cards I have tested. And the temps are quite good too.

In my case which is a Coolermaster 690 2, the top cards averages 78c and the bottom gets approx 62c on the most demanding games.
