Anyone else not wear a watch?

I think most people just wear them as a fashion piece rather than for time watching, there are so many clocks about you dont really need one on your arm to keep track of time.

Defo not a fashion thing for me. Spend all day at home alone... Just easier having a watch on when you need to know the time.

Nope.

Oh, my mistake. I thought you asked if I'd bought one today.

I like the fact that when you have no battery on your phone, or no electric, you can always rely on your watch. The engineering behind them are fantastic! I've got some dates pre 1900s for my pocket watches and one still works.

It's not simply a fashion thing, I find it more of an appreciation of them as pieces, collectors items. Obsess over, even.

Agree with the May article. In addition, a well made mechanical watch will long outlast me and will be passed down to children. I cant see that happening with the Note 2....

I always wear a watch. I find it much easier just to glance down at my wrist rather than getting my phone out. On the odd occasions I forget to put it on I find myself looking at my wrist all the time.

Nope never have, don't wear any kind of jewelry, i do have one and a wedding ring that i don't wear.

My last watch got thrown out of my car window nearly 20 years ago during an argument with a g/f. Never warn one since. No practical need for watches now a days thanks to mobiles.

She sounds like a time-waster. :D

Heh also had the obligatory Argos rubber casio watch when I was at school.

Haven't worn a watch since mobiles started to become smartphones and actually think my life is better for it - I notice time dragging at work far far less.

I haven't worn one much at all since my school days, and even then I didn't use one that much. I'm going down the pocket watch route sometime in the future.

Not at the moment. Battery died in watch and cant be bothered to replace it.

Can't say I miss it that much.

Will get a battery soon though as those short sleeve summer shirts will come out and a watch looks nice.

They're an accessory, not necessarily a fashion accessory though. I view them in the same light as hats, gloves and belts, they can be both practical and appealing.

I do find it almost bemusing though when people view wearing a watch as a bit weird, yet not wearing a belt with a pair of jeans or trousers is perfectly fine. Lazy scruffs! :).

Wear one when ever I go out of the house. Never actually look at it though, still look at phone for time
