Borderlands 2 release date confirmed ( Launch trailer also )

The best sniper is the Pimpernel, you get it from the robot in Washbourne Refinery as a quest reward. You can get a normal critical hit but there is also a sweet spot which gives you 5 critical hits for one shot, add that to the sniper skill bonuses of zero and you can beat anything in the game.

yea i know where he is cheers m8 :D

but i cant remember where you get Sledge's shotgun from, please help ?

i've just be reading about it, there's loads of stuff to come, i think there's a return to Zombie island  a sort of ``headhunter game pack``, plus also another DLC, I also think a level rise to 70 is totally stupid

Gearbox have to be careful, i mean flipping heck, it's hard enough getting to level 60  let alone 70 !!!!!

i will ask Evil what the game's like at level 62 and if he sais ``it's the same as it was, you still have to SL*G them first``.... then i'll not bother

it's now time to leave pandora and play BL3, yes make the 3rd game hard but not like this, back their health off by 40% and keep this proportion the same all the way up to level 60 you want it to be like the 2nd playthrough, where the bloody sniper guns work !!!!!

It's easy enough, I can't see getting to 72 being difficult; also 2/4 of the original classes can keep things perma sl@gged just from their specials without the need of weapon swapping... so sl@g really isn't something to worry about.

Urgh, dragons absolutely suck on Tiny Tina with Krieg. The 3 you have to kill in that one fight by the Blimp I just had to hide off to one side. Took a good 15-20 minutes to kill them.

Well from what little they've said about the new mode they've basically gone with "Its going to be completely biased against you" so if you're somehow expecting it to get easier I think you are going to be sorely disappointed...

Mechromancer is lvl46 now. Not far off 50. That'll make Siren the only one I've not really levelled (since she's level 9).

yea the 3rd playthough is deffo hard on purpose, it looks like they dont want you to progress, anyone that gets to level 61 deffo gets my respect for sure, because it's only really for ``die hard gamers``

I have 3 lvl61s (Maya, Axton and Zero) and seriously UVHM isn't really anymore difficult than TVHM, it follows on quite nicely from it - sl@g makes it go much faster in comparison sure, but it isn't impossible without -- you sure you just don't have really crappy weapons / shields etc?

Its not impossible without sl@g no but it is so much harder than TVHM without it so don't try and downplay just how much effect enemies taking 3x the damage has. You can spot the difference instantly when on Gunzerker if you use a sl@g weapon combined with Moxxi's incendiary SMG just because of how much extra the burn damage deals and Axtons turret will wreck things at a very fast rate once its sl@gged.

How do I try and downplay it? I say it goes 'much faster' with sl@g. But I see people here complaining that UVHM is too hard and that the lvl72 increase will be silly and needs nerfing? to quote claptrap, **** that noise.

The difficulty is fine for UVHM and I hope it's even harder for UVHM+... although I doubt they can do that anymore through the damage ratios of elemental damage types vs different enemies (which is the only way to make this game difficult, by using the wrong damage types against the wrong enemies, not weapon swapping for different enemies), so I can only forsee that being on how that digistruct thing plays out.

Are you reading the same forum? Mal X is one person and as far as I can see he's the only who has been actively complaining about UVHM (and TVHM...). And there hasn't even been any comments on the new mode yet cos we don't even know anything about it!

The jump between TVHM and UVHM is considerable in terms of what you need to do to survive.

For people on our first playthrough, what is the point of re-playing it on seemingly excessive levels of difficulty? It doesn’t sound like much fun. When I finish my first playthrough, I want to replay it as Zero but I don’t think I’ll be doing it on insane difficulty mode as it doesn’t sound like fun to me. Normal playthrough is hard enough, especially when I have no idea what I’m up against most of the time and there seems to be completely new enemies everywhere I go. Brilliant game though.

After finishing the game on playthrough 1 you will be at about level 30 or so. From then on you will be too strong for the enemies in that mode and your skill tree won't be complete! It's in your best interest to replay at least playthrough 2 to max out your skills :)

Also some very cool rewards await if you leave the quest to a certain order :)

Extra skills/etc as above.

For us we just saved the DLC until our second playthrough as we wanted to complete the main storyline as quickly as possible. I don't think any of us can face a third play through though...

Sure... if it was him you were referring to why did you say 'people'? He's been complaining about the game almost since the beginning.

Yes but here i'm right, this 3rd playthough is definitely much harder than the 2nd, because even you say so, plus others here have complained too !

this coment is wrong, i have the best guns in the game ( Evil knows why) and i'm telling you for a fact that you have to use Sl*g first, yes but the point is, you shouldn't have to.

this 3rd playthrough is at least 4X harder than the 2nd, but i did notice late last night that the game suddenly felt much easier, i was getting instant one shot kills from the Jakobs, but that's only because i spent an hour raiding the Golden Chest at level 57 and found a monster sniper...... you aint ever going to find anything like this on the ground or in a loot chest.

the diff between a one shot head kill and at least 3 head shots only seems to be about 10 000 damage...uum i'm not sure why, i also noticed the SMGs starting to kill without **** as well, because i did the Brick mission without ****

i also did the ``Opportunity`` mission without Sl*g as well, they went down easily with rapid fire Acid, so the guns right now.... from 10pm last night, are only slightly weaker than the 2nd playthough...... BUT, the 2nd playthough was only easy after i raided the chest at level 50, i've still got two/ three more levels to the end before i can raid that chest again.

we or i might actually therefore be wrong, and this 3rd playthrough could actually be about the same as the 2nd, it's just that you forget how hard the 2nd was as well, i havent played BL2 for at least 4 months

now then, when i took on Warrior the 1st time i was only at level 48, it was a total b***** and i flipping hated the guns, so yea' it feels about the same.... most odd.

Zero sucks now..... yea but he sucked back then too

you play on because you become addicted to the guns and the crazy psycho gameplay.

yea, well nor did i, but i found the only way to get really good guns was to raid that golden chest, so that meant that i had to reach Sanctuary again

why?..... because my level 50 guns were useless for Tiny Tina's, but now that i'm 2/3 the way through, i may as well get to the end and get all the legenday guns.

i dont have Conference Call/ Sledge's ****, i sold them at level 53, they were useless, so i need these side missions at level 61 again so i can get these guns back

believe me, if you really want to enjoy your DLCs.... have serious fun with them, without dieing every 10 seconds, then doing the main game again is by far the best way, because then it all stays static at level 61, with your guns being perfect for the next 4 DLCs, you need not worry about your guns anymore.

dont forget when you switch to this ``ultra`` mode, your DLCs revert back to ``replay from scratch``, so it's actually very good, you have 4 new DLCs to play all over again !

I wouldn't really call replaying the DLC content "new DLCs to play from scratch again". Personally I have found replaying anything in BL2 pretty tedious. These days I just don't have the patience for grinding in games.

well yea, but the trouble is you cant keep playing Dishonored all the time, however brilliant it is .....finally, DLCs, sorry any game, are always better the 2nd time around.... you notice things that you've missed the 1st time

Each to their own. Sometimes I've repeated content and enjoyed it (and indeed noticed things I missed the first time) but I don't spend enough time gaming to enjoy endlessly playing the same thing over and over again.

yea...but the main problem is, no new games to play, it is increadible how quiet PC Gaming is nowadays, especially if you are a focused shooter only, if so you are starved of content.... thus, Borderlands is a necessity rather than a desire.

there is nothing new you can play, it is either repeats, or old games that never really interested you at the time, therefore i would rather have Tiny Tinas, than say Crysis 3.
