I don't think you can make the like-for-like comparison with Florida and Paris either, as some people keep suggesting going there instead.
Disneyland Paris you can go to for a weekend, which really is all you need and its very easy to get there from this country. Yes its more expensive, but its still far cheaper than a trip to Florida where you are likely to go for at least a week, thus spending far more on accommodation, eating out and shopping.
I've personally been to Disneyland Paris three times, to Disneyland Los Angeles five times and Disneyworld Florida twice. Paris really isn't as bad as some people have made out, I never saw any pushing in queues and its a very multi-cultural Disney because its not just Frenchies, you have people from all over Europe visiting and even many Brits amongst those working in the resort. As R-evans says above, many rides in Paris are better versions than the other parks simply because they are more modern, Space Mountain springs quickly to mind.
Its ultimately all down to what you can spend and how much time you have.
