Is there a google street view-a-like car in the game? If not there should be, would take the realism up even more of a notch and make for another in-joke style fun vehicle.

Rough idea of how long it took you to finish the main story? I'm planning on finishing that first so I have everything unlocked and completed main mission-wise so I can mop up the side stuff.
 
Just done the wedding random event, pretty amazing that these random events are on the same level as most of the actual missions in GTA IV.

After unplayable disc error it loaded first time so I'm hoping it was just a little blip. Been playing for 15 hours and that was the only one so far.
 
So after reading all the threads I ended up watching a youtube thread of someone playing GTA5 live on wednesday night, Watched it for nearly 2 hours, Never done that before watching someone play a game.
Woke up yesterday & went & bought a pre-owned PS3 & GTA5. :D

Played it for hours yesterday but am still getting to grips with it. Wasted a bit to much time in a strip club trying the private dances on for size & have done a few missions & got the 2nd char but I keep getting distracted mowing pedestrians down & generally kicking off.
Tried to jack one of those nice Police Mustangs but got shot in the face. :p

Runs sweet as on the PS3 even when it gets proper lairy with the old bill. Evading old bill is something that I can actually do where as some of the other features I'm having to learn. Driving is sweet as long as you go fast enough, Try to cruise & the steering is a bit twitchy but give it loads of the loud pedal & the steering is quick, If that doesn't work then just go flat out & use your brakes as all cars have F1 standard brakes on them. :p
One of the things I like is taking out a few randoms whether it be a superman punch or just your standard kicking, Always nice to relieve a bit of tension after getting out the hospital after being wiped out by old bill/car/bike crash etc etc etc Jacked a car & the cheeky git held on for a bit so I stopped the car beat the **** out of him then stomped his head for ages, That'll learn him.
Played some tennis & just generally wandered about my new World & loved every minute of it, The dialogue is ace & had me laughing out loud loads of times.
So glad I caved & bought it as it lives up to all the hype easily. :cool:

TLDR; Goodbye life Hello GTA5.

I pulled up as Michael outside the ghetto hairdressers and some guy with his gang started getting my face because I parked my car a little close to him, we had a brief exchange of words and I told him to "**** off" and he gave me attitude, so I went inside to get my new do, and they came in and kicked me to death.

I knew I should've killed them before I went in, but I thought I'll get a nice cut, then go and blow these fools away. :(

Most likely.

I wonder if that is the next gen launch date though. Maybe a small possibility the pc version could launch at the same time?
 
It's all academic anyway as there's no way I'll be able to hold off for even the quoted 62 days in that advert for a PC version and resist buying a console one until then. :D
 
For those who have installed the play disc onto a USB drive on Xbox, which brand of USB drive are you using? Looking to buy one with way more than the 15MB/s minimum recommendation, just so it's as smooth as possible. Playing on and old fat 20gb console and it's a bit loud. Thanks!
 
Also, need to give credit to the PS3 for how well this huge game runs.

Graphics and framerate are terrible, but my, what an insane amount of content.
