Hi guys,

I've been running my new 7950 for a few days now and have overclocked it a bit using the HIS utility. I've noticed some odd artifacts, image below shows the blue squares, plus while playing some games the screen has turned grey. I can hear the game is still playing but can't see anything, I have to reboot. It's done this a few times in each game of Far Cry 3, Tomb Raider and Skyrim. I've reverted to stock values on the card and will keep an eye on it. Does this sound like a faulty card, or one that just doesn't like the overclock?

Cheers,

Jed

sounds to me like you have overclocked it a bit too much, and if you overclock then use msi afterburner as its better :) and the auto fan profile is nice

Try using a different browser. Try Chrome or IE.

If you get artifacts on those then it could indicate a problem.

isn't there a known issue with fire fox and amd gpus not changing 2d clocks properly? or am I thinkning of something else

Yes Noob i think there is an issue. It might be able to be solved by setting the lowest possible 2d clocks as a profile in afterburner. Or you could try disabling hardware acceleration in firefox.

If it was me though, id just use Chrome or another browser. I used to use Firefox but i find Chrome much better.
