Battlefield 4 Thread ~ Server details in opening post ~

Just gave the campaign a quick try...It's silky smooth and looks great! I'm getting a weird multicoloured strobe effect though...Updating nvidia drivers. This is using win7 64 bit I ordered win 8.1 for this yesterday after the laggy the beta in 7, probably didn't need to bother. :/

That's better, it was only going 4.5MB/s at first

No.

My connection has slowed down big time :(

2 hours and 30 min remaining now. So stupid to have cancelled the download all because of some guys instructions in here...... grrrrr

Hi Nexus,
So if I buy a key now, do I download BF4 first or VPN and download? Not read every post thus far!!!
Thx

Well boys n gals. I'll be meeting the lead sound engineer, Ben Minto this week as he's coming around to my mothers for a few hours !!!

Just making a list of the things I want to ask him. First, Dino Mode !!! And I don't care if you don't want it, I do :p

From playing a few hours of this last night my impressions are....Single player...Kind of the same old same old.. Looks gorgeous..Maybe the best looking pc game so far in my eyes but i just felt a little bored? The first mission was awsome but i just kind of felt like the single player is more of a graphical showcase than a great story.
I know past BF games have all been about the multiplayer but that doesnt mean you cant do an amazing single player experiance too.
Havent had time to play any multiplayer yet.

Question - can I download using regular internet, then connect via vpn to launch and download the update? or does it all have to be downloaded via vpn?

I don't think it matters, different guides out there.

I am just downloading it without VPN connection first, heck if you do need to VPN before downloading/installing, you could always just copy the content on to a spare drive and then delete/uninstall, run vpn, run download and then pause/excit and copy the content back over.
