770 gtx issue (worried man )

Hi there , I bought and built a new system yesterday and installed the KFA2 GeForce GTX 770 LTD OC 2048MB card in my system .

I loaded windows on
downloaded the drivers for the card
Installed coretemp
Installed 3dmark ( old one)

I then ran 3d mark and while it was loading the very first test the screen went black . I restarted the system and the graphics card fans were running at 100% but no signal on my monitor . Since then the fans dont run at full speed but I still cant get a signal from the card . The card is still getting power and the system is still booting as keyboard lights ect come on . I have also tried an old 5 series ATI card and it runs fine . So is my card dead ? , and how does this happen as I only used it for around 1 hour in total

Btw the 3dmark was 05 or 06 if this makes a difference .

my 290x did the same thing so i rma'd it. Worth testing it in another machine if at all possible just to double check but sounds like a faulty card

thats odd, To be safe i would RMA, Fingers crossed it is the card though and not another component playing around with you

If your other card is working its obviously your gtx770 rma it

Not got another machine unfortunately . Does anyone know how long the rma process will take as am off work just now with a bad back and was hoping to keep myself entertained with some good gaming .

I can't say from personal experience, but I think KFA2 are one of the better ones for a speedy turn around.

put a webnote up in rma they will be able to tell you what to do

Ok . Thanks for your help folks , I dont feel to bad now . Just wish I had the card running as the 3 fans were keeping my case incredibly chilly lol

yeah i had a 290x....... had to return it and none in stock at the moment so had to wait itchy buying finger just ordered loads of watercooling things while i wait. It really does suck when something doesn't work you just ordered but hey that's life

If the card is under 7 days OCuk would generally deal with it directly for you. Hope you get it all sorted
