*** The Official Playstation 4 (PS4) Thread ***

My TV cabinet is right up against the wall, almost touching only separated by the skirting board. Only got a couple of inches space underneath too, so would have to move cabinet 6" forward just so I could fit in the monstrosity of a power brick. I take great care in the alignment and placement of my AV equipment and sadly the XBone would destroy that resulting in a less pleasurable experience for me.

Not wanting to wish my life away but I really hope that time passes quickly, which of course it wont as I'm waiting for it...

I think once the Americans get it next week, the time will probably fly by. You'll be able to watch loads of YouTube videos of the UI in action, people Twitching 24/7 the games, etc. E3 week always flies by when watching all the new videos so I'm sure it'll be the end of November before you know it. :p

Sold my PS3 and 3 games today for £150, £330 for PS4 = £180 for a nice upgrade!

Really....?

Am I the only one who feels it's a little too early to get rid of a current gen console?

Neither the XO or PS4 have a huge array of must haves yet. There are still some great current gen games

I'm happy keeping my PS360 for a while yet. I still want to play Dark Souls 2 and Lightning Returns and I have a ton of stuff yet to play on both.

I am one of those who LOVES the fact that the PS3 has an internal power supply.

I move my consoles, and the external power brick on the 360 has always been an annoyance.

But a console having an external power brick would never be a deciding factor for me.

However, despite the PS4 having an internal power supply, it doesn't use a standard "kettle" cable connector, which is worse because now I will need to keep moving the darn cable, or make room for another plug somewhere.

Currently I just have one cable in the living room out the side of the cabinet, which I can plug either PS3 or 360 brick into. Now going to have to move darn unit and make more plugs available.

Yeh I'm keeping my PS3 so I have something to play for now. Will then just give it to my dad when my PS4 arrives so I can still go back to it if I want. :D

I'm keeping my PS3.

I know I should sell the 360 on.... but having trouble letting go. It was my Mass Effect machine! Less so my Gears machine.... but those two series are pretty much all I have for it.

Lol so you won't be doing that then.

To be honest if I could just send them to an animal shelter and they do the selling I would. I've not really used either console in ages, I know some of my friends run a donation to animals page where they sell art, might stick it on that.
