Buying new car( new meaning not brand new lol)

Couple of details:
Budget is upto 4.5k
Needs to be cheap to run
Cheap to insure
sub 40k miles
Hatchback styled

Ive been driving a new ford fiesta that i love, but its out my budget range atm, as their going for around 6k used:(

Im now thinking maybe polo 1.4 if possible or astra.

Looking for some advice, im 24 so insurance is a deciding factor too for the car, so 1.8s even 1.6s are out of question(there goes susuzi swift sport lol)

thanks

24? You mean you haven't had your licence long?

Have a look at Focus's, plenty of the MK2 Focus's in your price range.

If you like the fiesta that much then keep saving for it as you'll only be disappointed by anything that isn't it.

I don't agree on the insurance front though, I'm younger than yourself and getting cheap-enough quotes for larger engined cars - have you not had your license long?

How about an older fiesta? or even one with a few more miles on thats in budget? Or if you can save or borrow you only need to stretch your budget 1500 to get the car you want.

again i dont think your age is affecting your insurance much, im 24 and i have two cars with 3.0+ engines that cost very little to insure. its likely post code or when you passed your test that would make your premiums higher.

Sure I'll get slated but Punto Grande. I'd link you some but there's so many that meet everything you have mentioned, there's little point.

oh sod it, here's a couple;

Yeah people will knock it because they don't want one, but it's meets everything that you have asked for.

so the worst thing is re-sale prices. Just what you are after, as a buyer.

1.6 EP2 Honda Civic Sport?

Honda reliability, lovely looking car, would imagine you could get a great low mileage example for your budget.

I've just bought one of these last weekend, so far great car. But have yet to that many miles on it, so couldn't comment on petrol cost. Really nice to drive compared to my Saxo.

I'm not going to save for fiesta as paying 6k for it is just way too high

Atm I'm learning towards a vaxhall astra, as there are loads about at some good prices.

Ford focus another option too.

Tbh millage wise I'd go as high as 60k, just depends on car and history.

I'm not getting picky now as I need new car asap and as long as it's reliable I'll be happy.
One last thing, must fit roof bike rack:)
