Best monitor for gaming between £300 and £400

With 120Hz you need around 120fps - remember that.

PS If you play fps games, then yeah - 120Hz is the one to go for but its still TN panel so the colors are not all that.

I can vouch for the eizo foris fg2421, far better than any TN panel and yes I have owned a benq 2420t and it's streets ahead in its picture quality

What sort of games are you playing ? 120Hz is only good for dynamic FPS games so you can take advantage of 120Hz smoothness. Like i said, its TN panel so remember about it (angles/colors)

If you don't need 120Hz, go for 60Hz IPS 27inch

PCM2 in another thread said:
Refresh rate doesn't dynamically adjust to match frame rate. In other words, although you are only getting 60 'unique frames' every second, the monitor is essentially duplicating the frames to fit into its refresh rate. The monitor is also giving you twice as much 'visual feedback' every second in relation to your controller movements so things will seem much more fluid than at 60Hz. The benefit gained by additional frame rate (ideally 120fps) would be an additional reduction in motion blur.

I couldn't believe how big 60Hz/120Hz difference is, before spending the money see the difference yourself and i bet you will go for 120Hz.

How far you will be from the monitor ?
