Hello everyone,
I don’t mean to be spamming, just simply trying to share the information below with as many of our fans as possible. I hope you’ll find this official Q & A and the various links helpful:

Q: Why doesn’t AMD and their board partners include games with all product SKUs like some of your competitors?
A: AMD is committed to the gaming community and believes in maximizing choice for our customers. For example, this could mean choosing between a deluxe GPU bundle, a premium bundle, or a “stand-alone” card.

Q: I’ve heard that the AMD Radeon™ Battlefield 4™ promotion was applicable to all AMD Radeon™ R9 Series GPUs. But now I’m hearing that it’s only on select R9 Series GPUs. Which is true?
A: AMD’s board partners, including Sapphire, XFX, MSI, Asus, HIS, Gigabyte and others, will be identifying select AMD Radeon™ R9 290X, R9 290, R9 280X, R9 270X and R9 270 SKUs for the Battlefield 4™ promotion. Please visit www.amd.com/battlefield4 for a regularly-updated list of specific models that include Battlefield 4™ with the purchase of an AMD Radeon™ R9 Series GPU.

Q: Why weren’t all the AMD Radeon R9 Battlefield 4 promotion SKUs available in e-tail and retail on November 13th?
A: AMD is committed to the gaming community and believes in offering choice to consumers. AMD will be providing board partners with Battlefield 4™ game codes which they can use for promotions in accordance with their product schedule. As a result, not all board partners will release bundled SKUs on the same day.

Q: I bought an AMD Radeon™ R9 Series GPU prior to the introduction of the Battlefield 4™ promotion on November 13, 2013. Shouldn’t early adopters get codes?
A: AMD was unable to deliver this promotion prior to November 13th due to contractual obligations between EA/DICE and AMD. Due to the terms and conditions of this promotion, customers who have purchased an AMD Radeon™ R9 Series Graphics card prior to November 13, 2013 are not eligible to receive Battlefield 4 game codes. But as a gesture of goodwill to our most loyal fans, we’ll be giving away in a random draw 1000 Battlefield 4 game codes in the coming weeks. Follow www.facebook.com/amdgaming or www.twitter.com/amdradeon for more information on this upcoming promotion.

Q: I bought an AMD Radeon™ R9 Series GPU on November 13 (or later) because of this Battlefield 4™ promotion, but I didn’t receive a key. Shouldn’t I be eligible?
A: To maximize consumer choice in the marketplace, AMD gives its board partners the ability to decide which specific models come bundled with a copy of Battlefield 4™ as well as which resellers will carry those models with the bundle. We understand that this distinction was not made clear upon program introduction, and AMD moved quickly to clarify the promotion conditions. As a gesture of goodwill to our most loyal fans, we’ll be giving away in a random draw 1000 Battlefield 4 game codes in the coming weeks. I was waiting to buy a card with BF4 bundled, no bundle appeared in my price range - so no card was bought.

I bought BF4 separately and am playing with my old card on medium settings.

I want to see Mantle performance data.
I want to see proper coolers for the R9 290.

If these aren't available in the next week or so, I'm just going to buy a 780.

Board partners may be happier using codes in promotions as they see fit but us consumers would rather this promotion was across the range from day one. That way it's very simple. Customers will feel they are the ones losing out when they see BF4 free with a handful of 270X cards but nothing with their 280X. End of the day we eventually are the ones you want to be pleasing not board partners.

I feel quite ripped off with my 2 290s, no BF4, no gold tickets, while everyone who buys from this point on gets the hottest multiplayer game for free. The 1000 keys promotion doesn't make up for it, it's weeks from now when everyone will have already bought it and I stand no chance of winning one anyway because I don't care about social media.

It's not even that simple that everyone from now on gets BF4 free with any R9 card. It's up to the board partner so you could have a Sapphire 270X with it free but a 290X from MSI may not depending on how the board partner wants to use the promotion. In pleasing the board partners it has really made it as confusing and frustrating as possible for consumers.

To be totally honest Mr AMD Rep, i would prefer it if AMD carried on giving away Gold Tickets instead of copies of BF4, yes its a great game but most serious FPS gamers who are buying these cards are already playing it because they own it. Im holding off buying a 290/290x until i see the non ref cooled versions, however i would also like a gold ticket or a silver ticket instead of BF4 as i own it. If you guys can get your board partners to offer R9 290/x editions with a gold or silver ticket you have my money.

If this doesnt happen i will be tempted to give Nvidia my cash instead, their cards are not on all the boards being whined about constantly like AMD's are, i own an AMD card and would like to stick with the brand, however i do feel this whole affair with regards to tickets is really shoddy on your part.

Wouldn't the most fair way be to give them to R9 owners?
Those 1,000 given on FB, the majority will go to people who don't even have PC's capable of playing BF4 (You know the type I'm on about)

+1

Disgraceful that giving a 1000 away on Facebook (a platform I detest with a passion as do many, many people) is offered as some form good gesture, a good gesture that as you say will likely NEVER come close to rewarding there loyal early beta testers.

Im pretty sure 99% of people who bought the R9 290/X cards can produce a form of purchase also that could be verified against with AMD so they could get copies.

As people point out, offering them on your AMD site is laughable as the majority with just go to people who dont even have the cards, or others just looking to get a copy to sell / gift to friends etc.

Oh dear......

A goodwill gesture was to randomly give away keys?

How about open up those keys to those with a 2xx card and at least offer it to the first 1,000 owners who redeem it. Not a random give away.

Very lazy, very slack.

i've been in the amd camp for a while now but i find myself sitting on a big pile of cash and i can't stop looking at the 780ti. I had my sights set on a r9 290x but they've been plagued with driver and heat issues.

I know the non ref cards are rumoured for end of nov but will they be available to buy then?

I've sold my 7970's and i'm currently on a 4850 which is frankly making me feel sick...

I remember when I bought an ATI card and got a free code for when HL2 came out, had to wait a while on that one irc. Got my R290X on the 14th but since it is up to partners I can't say I'm expecting any thing sadly.
