Anyone had a Leon Cupra 180 and a CTR?

Other than sitting outside my house watching for me to open my garage, how exactly would you have known about it? I was permabanned.

Fair enough, but pictures could prove it considering you had some for your Audi.

Also, just read that piston heads link that muffin posted.

The audi is better than the CTR based entirely on mpg figures.
I love how the argument you are putting across is based on a petrol A3 when you had a tractor.

Hilarious.

Dear OP.

Test drive a CTR, then decide. Coming from a LCR it should become apparent quite quickly if you're going to like the Civic or not.

Personally I'd have the LCR mapped but then I prefer the turbocharged power delivery.

My first ever Honda (and only) was a Honda s2000.

Not a CTR I know, but I used to slate Hondas for ever and a day about no torque, undriveable etc.

Once I bought my s2000, after a few weeks my words to my friends were engineering brilliance. The motor was just something else. I know it rev'd to 9 k and not sure what a CTR is like but the facts were it was driveable day to day. It lacked a little low down torque if you are used to turbos or diesel but it did not make it undriveable infact more drivable as you could be a lot smoother.

when opened up it really did perform. It sounded amazing

That said it was terrible on fuel no matter how you drove it

A Mk1 TT being raw and having feel...hmm...posters post history says it all...very low intelligence levels.

I deleted them all after I put it on Autotrader. I had one on FB but I also deleted everything when I started a new account (girl stalking me, not nice).

Not entirely on MPG at all.

Don't get me wrong they are fast...but this is because they don't weigh as much, which is down to lack of sound deadening, plasticy interiors, etc. You can't have your cake and eat it... hence choice of A3!

If you really want to play this game I could suggest this :P

http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classif...pl144jk/engine-size-cars/3l_to_3-9l?logcode=p

2.0 4cylinder high revving honda engine with 197hp vs 3.2 250hp V6 and a gearbox that changes gear in under 400ms whilst sitting in heated leather seats listening to your 6cd full Bose sound system...need I go on? :P

But both the EP3 and the Audi in question are 2.0 3 door hatchbacks with similar power.

The S Class in your example therefore is completely irelevant.

The Audi is also utterly irrelevant, the OP doesn't want one so why was it brought into the conversation? Other than sharing 3 doors and 4 wheels it's not remotely the same kind of car as the EP3 anyway.

Then look at tuning. Aem V2 or equivalent (got to be careful with hydrolocking engines on these), I know you love your brand whoring so Gruppe M - £850. Plus full exhaust £550. Plus manifold £850. Plus whatever that fancy ecu is for a CTR £1200. + engine intake manifold skunk2 £450 = £3000 = 260hp.

A3 + £300 remap = 250hp.

Makes more sense now doesn't it?

Who mentioned tuning the CTR, is this something the OP has discussed with you in private? The "fancy ECU" is not £1200 anyway, and you don't need the stupidly expensive aftermarket parts to get more power from a CTR if that's your thing.

And, all my points on that screenshot are correct. Chavvy boy racer cars. Mine cost £2k with all the mods, I stripped them, put the standard ones on, sold the car for £2400 and sold the parts for a total of £800.

So you bought an abused/barried example so they must all be chavvy boy racer cars? You are certainly making an excellent attempt to emulate your PH persona.

SO I am thinking of buying one of these. I currently have an 8P A3 2.0Tdi, I upgraded to an 8P2 A3 2.0T FSI in December, which was stage 2+ so around 280hp, but sadly wrote it off by driving into an unseen 4 feet deep puddle at 2am when all the roads flooded in Cornwall.

Haha will never get old with me.

Leagues ahead of both as an all rounder in my hugely biased opinion too. So long as you're willing to put the effort in to looking after it, and spend time finding a good one. Mileage should be a non issue, the cars are worth nothing now anyway, the core unit will go on for a long time and at the age lots of bits and pieces will need refreshed regardless of miles.

A 3.2 A3 is a viable alternative too, but not one with the hilariously dodgy early DSG.
