Bah plastic. Moving on. I'll see what HTC will have to offer. As a last resort, I could always go iphone if nothing is out, or no news of anything that might appeal to me, by June-September.

They will again this time, no matter how good their new phone is.

I actually hope the S5 does not sell well at all, give Samsung a kick up their backside. The S line is meant to be their flagship model yet the Note 2 > Note 3 was worthy of that headline in my opinion.

Get yourself a note 3 Robbo and be done with it :) - I think the Note 3 is the phone I'll have the longest for almost 4 years now and I'm a tech freak so that says enough about the N3 already :D

I most likely will. I think the Note 3, considering when it came out, was more than acceptable and they actually made it look smart and work well. This is just very disappointing! Best case scenario the camera is better by a bit (on the S5) and I'm not massively bothered about that. Waterproofing is handy but far from essential for me. Heart rate sensor and fingerprint scanner that doesn't work properly? No thanks. :p

Heh, using this one cheers!

What do you reckon to it?

A pass for me. I'll hang on for the Note 4.

But!

I will be looking much closer at the Z2 and want a full play with the phone before deciding. No rush. If it doesn't excite then Note 4 it is I guess.

I can't see HTC doing anything amazing.

It's the Apple syndrome that Samsung are using sadly, I just hope they get rid of it sooner rather than later. There's not one thing I'd say is bad on the Note 3 to be honest, the only thing you'll need to adapt to is the size but that doesn't take long at all, I find all other phones too small in comparison now. Android development is going strong for the Note 3 right now too so you're not confined to TW or bloatware. I'm currently running temaseks rom and I am quite literally struggling to drain the battery or hinder the performance, it just won't give in lol. Currently at 83% - 1d 2 hours uptime and 1h30m screen time.

Do you think the Note 3 will get the new TouchWiz updates that are on the S5 (officially)? They're hardly essential but I'd rather have them than not.

I'll wait till the Note 4 as well, my S3 is still going strong so no point in taking the plunge over something that looks no different and isn't really that much better than mine.

Still excited for HTCs offering though

One way or another they'll make it onto the Note 3 I reckon.

Yeah, the battery and size of the Note 3 are 2 of the reasons I like it. Certainly the size will be more of a positive for me.

I may consider the Xperia Z2, will have to wait and see when it's out.

It'd be smart to wait for HTC but knowing what they are like it won't be available until end of April at the earliest, and most likely will have issues that annoy me. :p

What phone are you using at the moment?

iPhone 5, it's on the blink and the small screen is lame so want something new.

I tried it for a while, but just felt so restricted having used android most of the time, plus the small screen annoyed me :(. Lasted 3 hours before I gave it to a family member instead lol.

Had my S3 for about 18 months now...it's got really slow and it doesnt have 4G so was thinking about upgrading..possibly S5...but guess that's out of the picture now with what I can see...hmmm.....what to doooooo
