Not too concerned about price as my company is paying but is the S5 worth the extra cash when the S4 can now be had for approx £250 brand new. Tempted to get the S4, wait a while then get the S5.

Any opinions?

If you aren't paying, get the S5! It's better, more futureproof, etc. I wouldn't say the S5 is twice as good, but I think it's worth it.

To be honest, if someone gave me an s5, I'd sell it, buy an s4 and pocket the change. The s5 is pretty fugly and barely any better than the s4 in my opinion.

If you get the S4 through Vodafone, they did me a cracking deal as a "loyal customer", you get the Galaxy Gear free at the moment. That swayed me, you can't beat a gadget you don't really need but lets you pretend to be Knight Rider.

It's a Vodafone payg deal at the moment. Main things swaying me for S5 are better battery and the fingerprint scanner tbh. Hopefully the 4g would be a bit better too?

S4 doesn't support LTE-A (unless you have the right version) and the S5 does but honestly I wouldn't base this as a priority thing right now, 4G is hard enough to get as it is for most people.

Not bothered about the price but one is cheaper than the other?

You're either bothered about the price in which case get the S4 as it's probably 75%+ as good as an S5...

Or you genuinely don't care about the price and the company actually is paying in which case obviously the S5.. I don't see why you wouldn't unless the company in question is so utterly financially ruined that the extra couple of hundred quid will make you unemployed.

The the last point.. get the S4, wait a while and get the S5... why on earth would you do that? Everything the S4 does the S5 also does with extras and thats easily the most expensive way to do this unless you somehow think the S4 will hold its value as the S5 comes down which it most certainly won't.

Mat it's more of a value for money thing, it's my own company so yes I can survive a few hundred extra :)

Getting the S4 now on a special deal means the depreciation hit will be less bad but I see what you're saying. Will await the S5's arrival with patience.
