So, is there any chance Brazil will turn up in a colour other than yellow? I wouldn't have thought so, but you never know...

That's odd, I got both.
I didnt notice the £20 freebet stuff when I signed up last night, so i only checked for it this morning. It is there and it works (put it on brazil to beat croatia, went through fine so far).
I have only just received the email now saying that my free bet is ready (13:19, so roughly 13 hours after I made the original bet) so it might just be slow.

Sorry to copy you mate but i just did the same, no clue how to gamble, did you do some research or is it just a blind bet? Whatever we're in it together now
The 2:1 bet on brazil wearing yellow is not a free bet.
the T+Cs for the £20 free bet say that you get any winnings (immediately withdrawable) but you dont get the stake back.
Quite a few people have signed up so the promotion has obviously worked, the payouts from Coral will be less than if they had payed for proper advertising (plus this way they are guaranteed signups) and nothing compared to the amount of money that will be thrown away by their new customers in the coming weeks/months.

Everybody knows this. It's just a bit of fun, and some of us might even by smart enough to withdraw it straight away.
My plan is withdraw the £10 I originally invested then it's £20 of truly free bets to liven up the WC.
That is if Brazil DO wear yellow...

Great chance for some real free money for people tomorrow but you need to be in a William Hill shop around midday and have a betfair account.
Hills are offering Evens for Brazil to beat Mexico instead of 2/7, max £20 stake for the first 50,000 bets. They expect this to be available for about half an hour.
£20 on Brazil @ Evens = £20 profit.
Lay Brazil @ 1.36 on Betfair for a backer stake of £30 = £10.80 liability.
Brazil win = £40 return less £10.80 = £9.20 profit.
Brazil don't win = £30 return less 5% commission less £20 in shop = £8.50 profit.
For every £30.80 staked you're guaranteed £8.50 profit.
If you can manage to get on in 3 Hills shops if you're in a city and lay for £90 instead then you will make £25.50 regardless of the outcome, a slightly bigger return if Brazil win.

I did exactly the same
I used the £20 free bet on Croatia to win at 9-1
I used the £5 free Paypal money on a draw at 5-1
If there is an upset (there often is in the first game) I'll be quids in.

Just done and withdrew the £5 free from uploading the money via paypal straight away, so £25 profit from a £5 will keep me going the rest of the tourney i think...which i know is what they want, but i would have done so anyway, so might as well use their money instead of my own
