Sure let's see. I know I'd win with intel CPUs. Not sure about AMD ones but I'm sure that if I lose it wont be miserably.

Also 8320/8350/9370 (dunno which one I have in the CVF atm) score will take some time because I don't have that setup installed at the moment. But I can have the score for you later today. This is also assuming the CVF still works after the LN2 run, I'll eat first and check after that.

He does own Nvidia cards yes Matt and thats why I felt he was ragging on AMD at the time. Theres 4 of them on the podcast though and 2 own AMD cards with one being as staunch supporter so its good to get both sides I suppose

4.5Ghz, 1600Mhz RAM, 2200Mhz HT-Link and CPU-NB.

Thats what i have mine running at at the moment.
 
So yet another thread with nothing to do about mantle has turned into I'll beat you with mantle. Humbug nobody really cares, Theif is terrible, BF4 isn't much better, nvidia users will have similar performance or better in every other game on the market. I think you guys spend more time posting about it than actually using it.

Considering that the OP was some kind of troll protest about the last mantle thread, it's only fair.
 
I mean if you and Alatar want to compare results that's all well and good but if you do it in this thread you're only bumping it and making it more popular :D

Yeah, and this is why those that are able to use Mantle find it interesting to see a list of upcoming titles that will be running it, hence the thread.

Why certain 'enthusiasts' have a problem with it and have to kick up such a fuss is pretty strange to say the least.
 
Things get lost in a big thread I suppose. That's one answer.

A better question is why do those that wear a big green badge on their sleeve have such a problem with it and can only bring 'it's clogging up the forum' or other such weak arguments to the table in their defense?

Both these threads are around the same size. I have no problem with people posting about mantle, but wouldn't they rather bump the mantle thread than this directx one?

Apparently my CVF-Z has borked dimm slots (not that surprising after I pushed 2.25vcore during the end of the LN2 run) :

All slots give the same code

So FXs are out. I can do 4770K without HT ( = i5) or something. Or if someone has an i7 and a 290/290X then that would work too.

Great comeback. Not trying to do anything, the very top of this page is filled with mantle spam from Matt. Why not use the mantle thread to post that stuff?

It's not a comeback, it's a statement.
Are you really trying to convince me/us that this thread is perfectly innocent and it's really all about the next bunch of games that are using DX and that brand allegiance has nothing to do with you or the OP's opinion and motives?

You actually think you're that sly and clever and people here are that stupid?
