Gadget insurance for holiday abroad

Does anyone have any recommendations for "gadget" insurance while abroad. It'd be a camera (worth less than £1,000) and either a laptop (rMBP) or iPad.

No, no and no (unfortunately).

However I was hoping 2 months worth of insurance for the gadgets wouldn't be astronomical.

Do you have insurance for them here? If not, whats so special about being abroad that means you'll need insurance there? People often tend to over-insure things and this is a good example of that, IMHO.

I do indeed have insurance on them over here, but it's to cover them being at my student house and at my parent's house, so doesn't cover worldwide travel.

The travel insurance with the travel company seemed expensive and i was not sure if they would cover me for a previous medical condition.

Looking about online i got insurance to cover me for less than what i was originally quoted.

who does everyone insure their laptops/cameras with? My laptop is 2 years old, but was a £1,700 Macbook Pro Retina.
