I am thinking that perhaps 670 SLI will not cut it with a 4K monitor for gaming though I am open to correction on that point. So any advice perhaps on a 30 inch monitor? Don't haver budget as such will just save to afford it.

2560x1440 or 2560x1080 could be OK for SLI 670s.

After that how big monitor, it all depends how much space you have.

I also been looking at upgrading from my Dell 27" monitor and I been thinking there really are no good monitors bigger then 27" with support for over 60hz for gaming so am now thinking of maybe trying one the Asus PG278Q ROG Swift monitors..

Kronos I am a 30" IPS panel user, and actually have some I might part with, if you're looking to adventure into something that size.
