Will UKIP win its first seat in parliament tonight?

Not that I'm disagreeing with your main point Zethor but what has holiday destination got to do with the EU?

What does that have to do with anything, a British passport allows you visa free access to many countries around the world.

Brits don't just love to travel Spain, they're one of the main foreign buyers of property/investors. All of this is easy, with zero hassle, because both Spain and the UK are in the EU. So it's great that any Brit, rich or poor, can enjoy the freedom of movement when travelling to Spain but the Spanish people are poor and dirty and they should have restrictions.

My point is the freedom of movement has benefits for every country, rich or poor. Remember those annoying 1m Eastern Europeans (mostly Polish) that have come to steal jobs in the last 10 years? Well, more than 2m Indians, Pakistani and Africans have arrived during the same period. I suppose UKIP and their supporters would have prefered 3m of the latter since we all know they treasure different cultures.

I didn't realize it was any easier to purchase property/invest these days. Fair enough though.

As for UKIP I like their points based system on immigration my only regret is we cant kick out the British that wouldn't get in on points if they were immigrants. I don't see why we should have different rules for where you're born but there's got to be a minimum "quality".

Other than than UKIP have got sod all in my opinion.

It doesn't matter where people are from, immigration is currently out of hand, it needs checks and controls which we can't have under current EU rule. Bringing skilled people is great but we don't need people queuing up to work in warehouses.

A win wouldn't really shake it up as this was always going to be an expected win with a locally popular, albeit defected candidate

+1

Ukip are a one trick pony, nothing else. It's a sad reflection on society if people can't see through ukip's lack of substance

To be fair watching the bbc coverage on Clacton earlier I imagine the 50% is the only mobile half of the population.

Dont knock caravan holidays in Clacton mate. Some of my best childhood memories down there. Waking up to the smell of my mums cooked brekkie in the caravan.

I'm sure it's great for a relaxing holiday spot. Slow moving populous with ample bingo halls and pubs to while away time. Probably very few steps/steep hills for less strain too :D.
