So i purchased 8Packs EVGA 780ti which arrived and is a beast.

One of the fans on cooler is not working which I know about but the other is running at 32% and is very loud, tried Afterburner and EVGA x to make a custom fan speed to lower it but it just sticks at the current speed

Temps with just the one fan is 28c

Seem to only kick in when windows starts.

looking to replace the cooler at some point but not sure whats going on.

Any ideas.

That's not really a helpful answer, it might not be faulty and just something i'm not doing, hence the question.

These cards were purpose built for benchmarking under extreme conditions, you ideally should stay away from cards that like because as said above, it's prolly been ragged to an inch of it's life.

There's your problem, send it back and buy a new 970/980 with a warranty.

Please ignore the Troll. There is always someone that has no intention to contribute or help, but instead want to annoy. Today almighty15 is that guy.

Personally I would contact EVGA and explain the situation. They may just send you another fan. Worst case scenario you may need to buy another off them.

It was sold without the cooler he just happened to find it after the sale. Just not sure if the probelm relates to the cooler or the fan controller on the board?

My first port of call would be contacting 8Pack and asking him.

Have done :)

Do a guest rma with your serial number and then rma it,sounds like the fan is dead, you could try the EVGA forums for more help.

Probably pointing out the obvious here but the bios had probably been modded, have you tried flashing the stock kingpin bios back onto the card ?.

If not just RMA it, evga are very good in that respect and as said above they might just send you a new cooler, i will say however that the card is wasted on air cooling.
