Hi all, quick question about getting a budget tablet. We're going on holiday soon and I want something cheap and cheerful that I can stick some games on and a load of movies for my daughter. I've actually already got a Hudl 1 and although it works ok it is quite laggy and the responsivness of the screen is pretty poor. All the reviews I've read have said the Hudl 2 is a big improvement but has anyone on here had any direct experience of using one or any suggestions for alternatives at that price point?

Many Thanks,

Ross

Engadget posted a review not long ago, worth checking out. I only skimmed it but it certainly seems to be more than decent for the price tag.

Had one for a few days, nothing touches it for value and it seems quite sturdy. I would say it is ideal for what you want. From reading others experiences there is always the chance with the cheaper tablets that you get a duff one but returns/exchanges seem easy.

Thanks for the comments guys, think I'll try and grab myself one then. I'll have to check my in car charger is high enough output rating as well.

any chance of putting window 8.1 on this?

I cant believe tesco does not offer a windows version of this tablet, it would sell buckets.

just need 2GB ram.
