Shooting at French Satirical Magazine

In the Eighties we were more scared of the junior BCFC hooligans (Section 5) than the immigrant community.

True - good point :p

I Don't think it's hatred, just fear with a hint of drama.

Thanks for demonstrating your ignorance, and showing us why Farage was being very vague and not naming some areas to back up his claims. At best this is some form of white victim complex being displayed.

Manningham, for a start I was at Tesco express yesterday, which is run by white non Muslims aside from one employee, then crossed over and walked past the bookies (which is full of white and black people) entered the polish superstore catering for the huge non muslim white polish community in the area. Whilst the area is predominantly Asian it is anything but a no go area for non Muslims, that's not even mentioning the Bradford city football club with its supporters crowding the area every weekend.

Lidget Green, again very similar again with students all ethnicities living there and again with a large eastern European population. Again anything but a no go area. Not to mention the 3 or 4 pubs in the area that are probably serving ghosts according to you anyhow.

I did say it had been almost 20 years since I lived there. You're right I had heard there was loads of Polish people living and working in Bradford now. My local in Lidget Green was a Halal supermarket last time I checked on Google street view.

Just read a quote from our overlord Cameron published by the Telegraph -

"I'm a Christian. I obviously don't like seeing the religious things I hold dear mocked in an unpleasant way. But in a free country if people want to attack my religion and my beliefs you accept that because that's part of living in a free country."

News to me. I thought this was illegal

Anyway, the new issue is quite tame, how anyone could be "offended" to the point of actual violence by cartoons I can not fathom

I think they should keep printing this edition to meet demand. Another consequence of the attack is a magazine that nobody had heard of last week could have an issue on the coffee table of half the houses in western Europe.

The one thing I do think Charlie Hebdo have got wrong is their singling out of Muhhamad with their latest edition.

A better front cover would have featured him alongside the Pope, Jesus, Buddha, Krishna and Richard Dawkins holding a 'Je Suis Charlie' sign. That way, it would have defused all these "moderate Muslim" outcries that the magazine is trying to attack them. They would have had to answer (if complaining about it) why their prophet should get special treatment when there is no outcry by other religions, and shown they do satirise everyone.

By only having Muhammad, it plays into the narrative that Charlie Hebdo unfairly target Muslims.

The only people that think that though are ignorant idiots.

They attack everyone!

Well looks like things are kicking off down the road from me in Mold, so small Welsh market village, some crazy white supremacist type had hacked up a Muslim in tesco with a hammer and a machete looks like an off duty officer stopped him before he killed him though.

Not a huge amount of news so far but lots of rumours as everyone knows someone who works there etc.

bit worrying... supposed to be a 'secular' nation yet they're slowly becoming a bit more Islamic.

a bit more, more like a lot more i'd say. Under Erdogan Turkey has descended into a conservative-islamic mood, hes acting weird and the stories i hear from turkish open minded liberal friends across the border are worrying, he and his elite want to control everything. Last month he almost jailed a high school teenager who dare to criticize him over his half billion "palace", not good at all. I wondered what on earth their prime minister was doing at the Paris demonstration

Off the top of my head in London:

Green Street
Large parts of Tower Hamlets
Whitechapel

Don't try to spread utter ********.

I just got back from green street 20 minutes ago and saw white people walking around. I was in Whitechapel this morning and saw non-muslims absolutely everywhere. It's not a no-go zone for anyone.

These places are a ghetto for goodness sake. If an outsider finds himself lurking around neighbourhoods he's going to get asked questions, just like any ghetto. The fact that there's a large Muslim population in "Green Street" doesn't mean it's a Muslim only zone. I guarantee you more Muslim/Asian people have been stabbed by their own kind in or around Green Street and Whitechapel than white people.

I went to school near the same area as Green Street. I can assure you all the non-Muslims who I've personally known from the ghetto for over a decade have no problems with any terrorists.
