Gord's got a game running too, if his team is happy for a level 31 and has a Titan in his pack, we'll take Schnippz and Parrot to Gord's? Our strat works best in final fight with a Titan but not a must.

Otherwise, we'll have

Parrot (as he replied first) and Schnippz on reserve?

Never done CE before apart from soloing the lamps with my hunter. Any space for a lvl 31? I've watched the encounter and read the strats many times so not going in blind. Cheers.

I was running the strat we used last week yesterday with Gord's team and we actually did ok without the bubble protection so we should be ok without a titan.
We unfortunately ran into a couple of disappearing swords last night that stopped us from completing Crota.

Gord was the only titan yesterday and he had the sword so was using his bubble to chill out by Crota which was why we did not have one. It didn't work out that different to having an invis hunter still got enough damage in to down Crota in the three swords.
 
Pro-tip for hard mode, get the Titan to drop their bubble where the blue circle is below.

Do this just before the swordbearer starts his run, that way the bubble draws the aggro from the boomers, leaving the swordbearer to deal with crota normally. The Titan can still pop out the left side of the bubble to DPS, and the team can run through the bubble on the way to the right Ogre room to gain an over shield.

A Titan would be nice, so if Schnippzle fancies it and promises not to die, I'm happy to go with that. :)

I've just about got a 31 Titan now myself (just need some more plasteel plating) but I'd much rather be on sword duty.

Do you have any decent 331 weapons? Blessing of light bubble?

Sorry guys, looks like we'll just be focusing Crota tonight and not doing a full run. Parrot you're welcome to join us for this if you want to, just let me know.

I'm just waiting on a last confirmation (which sounds more like a no) but otherwise the space is yours. I will add you to my friends list tonight (feel free to add me in the meantime, ID in sig).

I think most of us will be running as 31's. Shouldn't be a big issue TBH. Barring bugs normal mode is much more straight forward than hard.

What class are you?

There are various strategies to use on Crota so we can flex depending on what our lineup looks like. Piphal/Mach are titans so we will have the bubbles covered. We will just need to make sure they get enough orbs from the rest of us (hunters gunslinger seems pretty good in the Crota spawn room).

Excellent much appreciated. I'm a 31 hunter and comfortable with Blade Dancer and gunslinger and will switch as appropriate. I'll add you Tonight and I'll wait to see if there is a space :)

Only played around with the Necrochasm for a short while but the thrall perk seems to proc about 75% of the time. The AoE damage is quite good - it kills other nearby thrall in one explosion. It'll certainly come in handy in the abyss. If Bungie increased the impact by 10-20% and the magazine size by 10 or so, this gun will be unreal.

That's kind mate. I'm on Xbox One though! I think I'll be fine for doing it at some point soon I just haven't had much time to attempt it! I have the cp now anyway!

Level 31 Titan (defender class not maxed out [yet])

My current maxed weapons:
- Hard Light auto rifle
- Gjallarhorn
- Up For Anything auto rifle
- Valedictorian 9-44 (void rocket launcher)

Also have Ice Breaker at 302 damage (next on the list to max)

Ideally have 'Horn for the bit with Crota with BH and your preferred primary. p&T is a good weapon but can't think of a specific role in CE raid other than it good to solo the abyss with it

Done :) - I've learnt a new strat where everyone (bar 1) can stay on the middle platform if you don't move while one goes in to attract Crotas attention. Means youll get the swordbearer down quicker the second run...
