The Budget 2015 – 12:30

A budget surplus predicted in 2018/19....I'll take that with the same pinch of salt used from when he said in 2010 the budget deficit would be gone by 2015...

I'd like to see Ed Balls' face while this statement is being given. I bet he looks like a man trying to bluff an all in poker hand with a 2 and a 7.

Great, because Dams are a great environmently and economically friendly way to generate electricity...

(Sarcasm before anyone asks...)

We already have a lot of clean water reservoirs that we use for supplying our homes and water companies are looking at installing small turbines to take advantage of the potential energy. It could be to do with that.

Regardless, your comment is daft because in many ways dams are an extremely 'environmently and economically friendly way to generate electricity' minus the sarcasm.

Wow, everything in the economy is so rosy in The World according to Garp George, it makes you wonder why there has to be such austerity measures against public services to come....

That's why he is chancellor of the exchequer and you do what ever you do.

hs3? since when has hs2 been approved? i thought hs2 was scrapped?

New loans for students will only further exasperate the tertiary education problem. The government just messes everything up.

Government budget aka how is government going to waste your money this year.

Given that he was faced with the awful mess that Labour left after many years of mismanagement it's not surprising that he couldn't be more accurate with his forecast in the emergency budget statement made just after the election.

Haha :D Labour are being served. Con-Lib has worked, hope we get the same again.

Idk I think you both talk it very well :p.

what do you do?

I would be happy to see another con-lib government. Conservatives are making the hard choices maybe not well but they're making them and the libs are stopping them going OTT.

Sure, so lets see what your reasons are in 2019 when this ones missed too ;)

Why's that, because he can talk b****** with spurious predictions and I'm actually qualified for my profession?

:p.

I agree. As governments go, this has been a pretty good one.

Agreed, I was very much against a coalition, thinking they could never agree and so never implement anything. Happy to say I was wrong and hope we have it again.
However the majority of lib voters are dumb and won't vote for them again. Then don't seem to understand they didn't win, they weren't even the largest part of government and so can't implement what they want.

And he wants to mark the 600th anniversary of Agincourt. Shakespeare referred to that as a victory for a “band of brothers”. That is not an option for Labour, but it was a victory against an opposition in alliance with the Scots. It is worth spending money marking it, he says.

wat.
