Hi guys noticed i got a small leak in my radiator and its annoying me
radiator only seems to leak when gaming or putting massive amounts of heat into it.

----- basiclly no leaking at all until i game lol
-----

I was thinking of repairing the radiator, what would be the best epoxy to use
i was thinking quick steel epoxy.... or are there better alternatives for these types of radiators.

Is it where the fittings are or is it a crack in one of the tubes?
When you say massive amounts of heat, how much are we talking, rough coolant temperature?

when temp gets above 70c on my R295x2 @1150
the leak is from some daft noob who i bought the rad from used the wrong screws and punctured the fin/tube...

not that great with a soldering iron so i would have to be epoxy fix or silicone fix.
im sure that would work as i think the epoxy i listed above is fine above 200 degree temps and over.

Forget silicone/epoxy. Solder it!

Get a good gas soldering iron with a torch attachment on. A iroda 50 is more than enough for this. get some flux and solder. Wire wool to clean it.

Seriously just solder it!

Well i have a blow torch not sure that would work unsure how to solder lol
or what flux or metal to buy......

where would i get the correct flux/metal ?

Honestly it's easy, I used to buy damaged rads and fix them up. I just used normal plumbers flux from a diy store and some normal electrical solder. Stick a bit of flux on the hole and dip end of solder in flux then melt it with blow torch over hole till its filled then leak test. It will be as good as new after.

kk will try that out at the weekend and report back ;)
and if that fails i have just as a backup bought some JB water weld epoxy stuff.
its ment to be the bee`s knee`s when it comes to fixing radiators :D
im talking about car radiators here lol, they have much higher temps and much higher pressure so using on a watercooling radiator should be easy..... + it sets in 25 minutes and cures in 1 hour ....

:)

nah was impossible to solder or to get to the location to solder it as it was directly under a screw spot and i couldnt get to it so i used water weld on it lol not sure if it worked or fixed it as i didnt test it i bought a new rad 360mm phobia.

now i set the system back up and im running into another issue now no flow :(
and i cant seem to fix that...........

im trying though but its annoying me to death lol
