290 tri-x rma - what will i receive?

As the others have said, expect a 290 or a 390 4GB (same card, slight overclock). If you're offered a 380, decline as that's a rebranded 285 - great card, but not as great as a 290/390.

I RMAed an MSI 7970 when the 280X and 290 has been out a month or so, so expected a 280X to come back. Was surprised when I received a 7970 back (obviously, fine with that as that's what has died) so just because the cards aren't for sale anymore, don't dismiss that companies keep a few in stock for replacements if needed.

I would certainly not be disappointed with a 290 as replacement. :)

This is why you take pictures of everything. You should still be aggressive with the customer service, sometimes they do this **** just to dissuade claims. Also why I avoid companies with ****** CS, like Sapphire.

Yes it is indeed that company... Not in the best mood today!

The mother packed my card for me and hadnt taken pictures, all in all nothing I can do. They will never get my custom again. Its a shame we cannot name them here, means my story will not be indexed anywhere under their name.
 
Are you guys talking about the company which you could refer to as what the clerks do at tesco checkouts when putting through your items? That scam company? Iv'e never had a problem with them, well only used them a couple of times tbh so never had to use their customer service. Probably will avoid them now if they are that bad? I usually always use OcUK tbh unless i find what im looking for reasonably cheaper else where such as the rainforest UK :D

Customer Service?

They don't know the meaning of the words, and yes, speaking from bitter personal experience.
 
I try to keep all my purchases with OCuK, however sometimes it's too much of a difference to argue with it. I think the Tri-X was out of stock everywhere but sca|\| so I purchased there.

Couldn't have happened at a worse time.
 
They have zero cu$tomer service. Grab your money and run is their business model. I've only ever bought a TJ07 from them and a few small cables. They quite simply don't care about us. Which is why I stick to OcUk whenever I can!
