Merkur super platinum double edge safety razor blades are where it's at.
Exactly. I used to be a muti blade buyer but since moving over to DE i've saved loads and get a much better shave.
I change my blade every 3-4 shaves and use Feather Hi Stainless blades which work out at 37p each. The head can be brought for £24, mine was brought in 2011 and won't need replacing for the foreseeable future.

100 blades gets it down to 25p per blade too.me too, my merkur DE head and 100 derby blades was cheaper than 1 modern multi razor thing with a couple of spare blades and i'm still using blades out of my 100 pack 5-6 years later and it's a good close shave![]()
1. Go read up on proper shaving.
2. Buy kit.
3. Practise.
4. Enjoy the best shaves you can have and save money whilst you're at it vs these stupid gilette pish shavers and blades.
I use the Gillette blue disposables. I learned to shave when the double bladed Gillette was the latest and best razor. It did me then and does me now. I find there's literally no difference between them and whatever the latest gimmicky razor is at the time. And I don't mind if the GF uses one!
I'm still using the final cartridge that came with the razor a few years back! Maybe they put uber-cartridges in the introductory packs to get you to change to Fusion?

Buy a decent safety razor, some blades, a badger hair brush, and a pot of good quality soap, and enjoy the best shave you've ever had for a tiny fraction of the cost.
