Oh well still 30 odd 3 of coins so next time I'll keep that in mind and use it to infuse something. Thanks for pointing that out as I'm not quite familiar with the whole infusion thing myself.

If I understand it correctly, to infuse say the suros regime rifle which is 290 attack, I would need a weapon or armour of the same attack to infuse it right??
 
I'm at 268 light iirc and I have a quest which involves 5 heroic strikes, really and I mean really struggled with 2 randoms on the rasputin strike. Couldn't even get past the first part let alone any other level lol. One guy was a 280 and the other was a 255 so don't think I'll be trying it anytime soon or till I get to at least 280 level or find a couple that can help me nail those 5 strikes.
 
So after some hesitation on whether I should jump back in to Destiny, I am well and truly back in again, or at least for now until I sicken myself :D

Currently at light 286 with my Titan. I'm choosing not to run any alts this time around and stick with the one character. Like many of you I spent a fair few coins doing the cheese, got some nice primary and secondaries as well as helmet, gloves and chest pieces. So many duplicates though, I even had 3x hunter chest pieces all the same. I'll use the dupes for infusion.

I had that many randoms on my friends list from LFG that I decided to cull my entire list and start again, with people who I know still play. Haven't tried the raid yet, was hoping to increase my light level more, so I feel a little more comfortable in not holding back a group.

I wasn't aware that you could cross character infuse but then I haven't touched my alt's yet. You can only infuse with that weapon or armour class. So a primary weapon can infuse a primary weapon, it can't infuse another weapon type or armour.

Ahh ok think I might have it wrong then, ok so again to infuse a 290 attack weapon ie suros I would need a 290 attack primary weapon?? And that takes the attack to...300??

No, you need a higher attack weapon to dismantle to attain any gains. So a 290 Suros infused with a 300 primary would probably become 287/8. I assume quality of the breakdown weapon has an effect but have not really tested it yet.

Not quite.. if you have a 290 attack weapon, to get it to 300, you'd need to infuse it with a weapon at 302.

It's best used for when you get high light-level rares, or legendaries that you'd otherwise dismantle, but want to bring up another weapon with good perks to a higher level.

Almost. To infuse a 290 attack weapon you'd need something higher. The maths is roughly 80% of the difference, so if you had a 300 weapon you could use that and the difference of 10 with the 80% modifier would leave you with a 298 infused weapon.

Guys, can anyone help me with Stirok in the Rocketyard please? Everytime I try Um the only one there, so havent even killed all the Taken yet to be able to summon Stirok. Please friend me. PSN: oHUTCHYo
 
Boolean Gemini and Zhalo Supercell, finally got my exotic weapon collection started!

So the three of coins 'cheese', it doesn't give you multiple chances? Just a way to get ultra kills fast? I'm usually killing an ultra pretty often anyway so happy just using them while I'm doing atrikes/missions/patrols
 
Well, after getting Destiny along with the Destiny Ltd edition PS4 on Thursday, I absolutely hammered it on Thurs night and Friday before going away and coming back on Sunday evening whereupon bags were dumped and Destiny hammered again.

Now have a hunter at lv23, and I'm just about to do the lv18 quest on Mars, 'The Black Garden'. Must admit it got confusing at one point when I was getting The Dark Below and House of Wolves quests given to me along with the vanilla storyline. Surely they're supposed to come after? Saving those until after the vanilla storyline in any case, even if I'll be massively overlevelled for them.

Absolutely loving this so far. Mostly been using handcannons; just so satisfying to use.

I feel bad everytime I venture out into the Crucible as I get nailed, letting my teammates down. Finding it tough to do some of the crucible bounties as a result.

Don't feel bad, that's not down to level or equipment but skill and map knowledge as the Crucible is pretty good at levelling the field. Hop in, practice more and you'll get better as you go. I'd personally suggest nibbling away at the story first though as it gets better and better the further you get. If I'm not mistaken, the Black Garden was a vanilla mission.
 
Oh and I've said this many times before but add me: D-i-d-d-u-m-S. I've got loads of mates so once we've done the honours of sending out friend requests and meeting each other we should have a massive pool of players to team up with. We're all easy going, feel free to hop in whenever :)

I've sent you a friends request as well as you're close to my level and I need some friends to do lower level strikes and missions.
 
Phewww finally managed to get the 5 heroic strikes quest done, was a tad hard to say the least but thanks to danclivo who helped me nail my first heroic strike win.

Managed to find a decent team of randoms, so we ran through 4 strikes as they needed that bounty too. Was good fun and although it was bloody hard going at times especially that damned undying mind...think thats the new omnigul we managed to work together as a team and nailed the 5 wins.

Now just need to do the nightfall strike. Got some good drops from the heroic strikes so managed to get to light level 280-ish now.

Only have about 5 quests left to do, one is the kings fall raid so that will have to wait a while before i try to attempt it.

Oh did try the whole infuse thing, brought a few of my fave weapons up to 280 light so im finally understanding the whole infusion thing etc. Sadly had to dismantle a few legendaries that I was quite fond of but have got much better weapons.

Telesto fusion rifle is a whole bag of fun, my next weapon to level up ...zhalo supercell is fully levelled and got it to 290 light with a couple of infusions.
