Assassins Creed Syndicate

Any news on the performance yet? I know performance issues plagued Unity so I wondered if that was still the case with this.

I read a few previews a month or so ago that said it had similar issues to Unity, plenty of bugs, FPS problems etc. Enough to make me not even consider a pre order, put it that way.

I have been reading the opposite it seems to run well on PS4 no idea about Xbox.

I watched the live stream for about an hour and they never mentioned any performance issues. They said it ran well but with the usual AC issues like jumping the wrong way etc...

We shall see...

I've still not progressed much with Unity thanks to Batman, Witcher and many others, was surprised to see this is here already, they are fairly churning them out these days.

Not according to this:

Be interesting to see if they actually sorted that out in the last 3-4 weeks.

Either way, add those kind of comments to a review embargo, and huge red flashing lights should be going off at the back of everyones mind.

Well that's pretty much put me right off... I very nearly placed an order for it this afternoon , I did have it on pre order from Amazon till a few weeks back when I cancelled it... The game is getting major backlash across a few game forums as well... Unity really damaged this series.

Shame, I was really looking forward to running around London. Wait on reviews and used impression first I guess...

Exactly, waiting a couple of days won't hurt and we will get a good idea what state the game is in. Hopefully it'll be all good.

I actually saw the ad on tv for this. But I mistook it for Unity. I do the same for Call of duty. Could be 30 of them for all I know.

I like the settings and in the game footage I was watching on Gamespot they didn't appear to have any glitches or slowdowns.

However the more I watch the more I think the enemy AI is dumb just standing around as you pummel their mates. Plus not reacting to your parkour antics or assassinations left around the streets.

The reviewers were commenting on how it was more of a task to take down bosses in the earlier games and maybe the main characters are getting overpowered now.

I wait for the reviews this time.

Two day one patches incoming.

Assassin's Creed Syndicate will have not one, but two day one patches, Ubisoft Montreal community developer Gabe Graziani has clarified.

Taking to the game's official reddit to respond to rumours of an 18GB day one patch, Graziani wrote: "We actually have two patches that will be available on Day 1. The first patch (titled 1.10) will be 541MB, the second (titled 1.11) will be 534MB.

"Not sure where 18GB came from... neither of the patches you will need to download are anywhere near that big."

Assassin's Creed community manager Justin Kruger also confirmed that the PS4 install size will be around 43GB, with Xbox One at about 40GB.

Assassin's Creed Syndicate launches in the UK on Friday.
