All I'll say is never upgrade downwards..

I've got 1080p AOC 144hz g-sync monitor and I'm a bit sad now that I didn't save more and got 1440p. My main problem is aliasing in GTA V. is it really much less noticeable on 1440p than even 1080p x4 msaa? Should've waited for Dell's g-sync monitor? cause now it's eating me. I was avoiding 1440p because of massive QC issues as well. I have a single 970 and didn't plan to upgrade it until pascal.

It's perfectly acceptable to upgrade downwards if you're happy with downwards upgrading from your previous downgrade, but going up from down and downgrading while upgrading doesn't make a whole lot of sense, unless it's an upgrade from a really bad upgrade that was actually a downgrade which you hoped would be an upgrade upwards but was in fact an upgrade downwards... but a new downward upgrade can fix all that. But yeah, you ideally want to upgrade upwards.![]()
