Has anybody had any dealings with these people "winner_racing_tuning"

Probably good quality for their countrys standards and crap for ours.

Just look at the Chinese suspension and how rubbish that is.

It is tricky though.

I would draw the line at springs/shocks. No way would I get that from the far east (Except Oz  )

What I am looking at is radiators/silicone hoses.

They are stupidly cheap (And promise reasonable performance too)

But it is also direct order Chinese!

HooKayy.

I will order the coolant hoses and report back. If it all tuns to ****, it is only 60 quid.

If the hoses are OK I might risk the rad.,

(I need a new rad for my LC, these guys are offering a superior rad at less than half price for a standard one)

Lets see where this goes!

What???

A radiator is one of the key parts of the car.

A spring snapping due to shoddy workmanship is fair less risky than a rad leaking and causing your engine to overheat.

Why be a cheapskate on things that are critical for your car? Even hoses? Do you even understand what they do?

Ridiculous!

I am a good enough mechanic to be able to look and check the quality of a radiator.

(At a minimum, If the metal looks good and the welds are neatly done then the whole product is likely to be OK, though I would look at other things too)

I cannot however check the internal quality of a shock, nor can I ascertain the grade of steel used in a spring. (My Vehicles are large and heavy, I will not compromise on suspension)

As I said, I am wary of buying stuff direct from China, but that doesn't mean I am not prepared to do it. Obviously I am very cautious. I am just wondering if anybody has had dealings with this particular company before.

As I said, I am inclined to order the hoses and see what they are like (It is only £60 after all). If I hate them I will say so (Which is good for the rest of you) If I like them I will say so too (Which is also good for the rest of you) and If I like them I might well go for the rad too (And report back)

I was just wondering if anybody here had had any dealings with this particular company before.

Having bough a cheap Chinese radiator, oil cooler and intercooler many years ago the quality was "adequate" but you really need to flush everything out a few time before you fit it as all 3 were filled with swarf, weld blobs etc and the amount from all 3 combined was about enough to fill a matchbox!

The efficiency of the cores was average too so don't expect it to be much better than stock for the same size (obviously it'll be better if it's bigger/wider than stock).

Oh teach me master, how I lust for your eyesight into being able to see the quality of material and their makings..oh won't you please teach me master...:p

I must say I'd rather chance a component that's failure wouldn't affect the handling of my vehicle, Spring > radiator as far as safety goes at least....

After seeing how quickly a snapped spring can peel a tyre off a wheel and sever a brake hose I would personally prefer a leaky rad given the choice!

I'd rather have neither.

Edit: in the clear (sober) light of day, I agree, a spring snapping would be worse than a rad leaking. Not that it detracts from the original point.

china rads are fine and do the job fine. Those ones are no cheaper than you can buy from a UK seller though so why bother? Knockoff hose kits can be iffy though, mate had a set for e36 which just didn't fit.

Frankly an awful lot of stuff is made in China, and you will regularly see ebay spec stuff that is exactly the same as a big brand item sold by a western country. Of course you would never know this before ordering.
